This is so good! I feel like this animatic really elevates the storyline of the song without taking it too literally. Like, is she a ghost? Is she trapped here magically? Is it a metaphor? I feel like this animatic captures the answer in a way that leaves it up to interpretation. I was initially taken back by the ending, but I realized that it was showing just how much time has passed. Like, she's stuck there even after the world has ended because she truly is stuck there forever. Absolutely beautiful. 10/10.

Part of me imagined the story as she DIED. Basically, ran out crying("mascara running") and gets hit by a car. When she 'wakes up' she's at the table. So SHE is now "frozen in time" (at 23) while eventually - "everybody moves on". And he never comes back so she imagines that he "has a wife out there" but she'll never know cause she can't leave.

I love the detail you added at 0:37 that shows that she is physically trapped in the restaurant. It's not just her choosing to wallow there forever, she actually cannot leave and is forced to stay there forever.

The lyrics and drawings from 1:57 to 2:25 i was sure the older man sitting down was going to turn out to actually be her ex as she still sees him as the young man she fell in love with still being stuck in the past being “23 inside her fantasy” and the cup with her reflection 2:35 was goner change to show a old women as it hits her time had gone by under her nose, he was a old man now that had lived his life and her? I always thought that this song with make a great music video. I love how you’ve depicted it. In my mind, I envisioned that they were out to eat at a nice restaurant, and he reaches in his pocket and she thinks that he’s pulling out an engagement ring, but he’s actually pulling out a picture of the woman that he has fallen in love with, and then he leaves her. She starts crying. But then as a coping mechanism, we see the video rewind back to that moment right before she found out when she’s just so happy because she thinks he’s going to propose. And there she freezes in place. She just pretends that everything is going perfectly. And you see the days, weeks, years pass and she starts collecting dust and spiderwebs on her body but she still smiling and unblinking but in her eyes you could start seeing that she’s really not happy at all. Perhaps there an occasional tear that falls.

Trauma can leave a person frozen in time. I love how well your video conveys this message. The girl gave up all of herself and her future just to wait for the possibility that the man would come back to her and they could be 'happy' again. She lived in a fantacy thinking that the man was perfect for her. When in fact, the man just wasn't right for her. But she couldn't see a future without him. As she has attached all of herself to the man of her dream. The man lived his life and the girl became a shell of herself. It is truly sad to see people become this way. Yet I think many of us can relate to a sad breakup and thinking of the perfect life we could've had with our ex. Unfortunately, those are just not the reality. We must try to move on, even when our hearts want to stay right where they left us.

God, it's just so depressing and sad, the way you related the sentiment of the part where you're like "have you heard the story about the girl who got frozen?" it gave me an incredible loss of sense. Definitely the most heartbreaking part for me was when they bombed the city and she just sits at her table, made me want to cry! How do you describe the feeling of "Everything may be happening, but I'm just a zero to the left that doesn't contribute anything and just observes", well I know it's not what you reported and I'm only reflecting on it, but that makes me generate An incredible level of sympathy! Something that I did not expect but I loved was that everything happened on the same stage. Well (obviously) it makes you get more of the feeling of being frozen in time. This is definitely another masterpiece of the channel, and I hope it will be well recognized and supported because it shows the effort you put into it. In short, I loved it! This video and the concept you brought to life is absolutely amazing. I’m so glad I found this because this is exactly how I imagined the setting to the song if it were to have a music video. In a diner, she keeps coming back, she can’t let go of her love, she’s stuck there and being forgotten by those around her, forgotten in the corner. I think it was ingenious for her to eventually become a ghost, literally frozen in the past. I’ve always kind of connected the visuals of this song to the Begin Again music video but if it was tragic instead of optimistic, and this concept really gave me what I wanted. Great stuff, fantastic art to the most beautiful song.

I saw the door open after the bomb and thought "oh, now she can get out. She can leave it behind." Was completly devasted when she simply went back to her table. Even though at first there was some fourth dimension stuff that prevented her from getting out, i think she eventually ended up staying there because that was all she knew. She was so used to being trapped in her sadness after being left, she dudnt know what she would have done if she had left, if she was free of it.

Oh man this really hit home. I feel like this really encapsulates something I experienced after a breakup. I used to go to this place with my ex all the time, it was *our* spot. Yet when we broke up, despite knowing it would hurt, I kept finding myself there, hoping maybe every time I saw someone through the window or come through the door that it'd be him and things would magically fall together again... but they didn't. I kept haunting empty houses. Then I realized I don't have to keep coming back to this place, metaphorically or physically. This song is one of my absolute favorites, and I love what you've put together for it
