I tried surf fishing on the Oregon coast for the first time about a month ago. I didn't catch anything, but had fun and learned a lot. Can't wait to try again. Thanks for the videos!

That first "little" one was bigger than the palm sized ones i've been catching down here. Great video, PK. Got to show it to the kids before the trip up there in July. Gonna try to convince the wife to let me get three of those poles. I like Okuma products.

Hi. Nice video. Appreciate the information! What is the distance between hooks? Do you tie the hook directly to the loop? How far below the bottom hook do attach your weight? Are there tides that you won't fish?

I'm in the market for a new rod, I'm curious which one you were using? I watched twice but still never heard you say what it is. Thank you, I love the videos.

This was an Okuma Cascade pro 10'6" rod. It's (Bi-mart exclusive I think. But the Okuma celilo 9'6" medium light salmon rod also works great.

PK, we are coming to Pacific City next week. The area looks like areas you fish. Have you fished there? If not, do you think it is a good place? I got the bait and hooks you recommended.
@oregonlife3 жыл бұрын
Yea. It's a decent place. Get some live sand shrimp - they work so much better than gulp sandworms. Use spider thread to keep them on the hook or they fly off during a cast. Move around if no bite after 5 minutes

Pk, I've messaged a few times about how I'd really love to meet up with you for a day out on the coast and or I can show you one of my spots for lake fishing. I'm a local Oregonian with all the gear. I'd love some more of your pointers, but most of all it would be epic meeting you! Much love from Oregon!
