Oregon Columbian Blacktail Bucks in the Rut Nov 2020

Just a couple more days until arrow slinging time. It's looking pretty crazy out there in the hunting woods. Getting stoked!

Ya that big 1x2 has a big body on him. And I had a close call with that 4x4 with the big brows on the morning of 11/22/20 about 0645. It was just before shooting light, only 15 yards away from my tree, I could see the silhouette of a deer there but it was still a little too dark and I couldn't see the antlers, then he strolled off right towards one of my cameras. I was pissed when I checked that card that evening and saw it was him. Oh well, hopefully he comes back for this years rut. He should be an absolute beast now.

Yep He's a nice one.. I've never seen eye guards that big on a blacktail in my life. My late bow season opens in a couple days. Hopefully I will get a chance to run an arrow through him.

Went out to hunt today and saw a huge buck so I shot at him I was using a muzzleloader and he dropped and started kicking I thought I had killed him so I got excited I was wrong he booked it and was completely fine at least more ok than I thought and I must have only nicked him because the blood was only inches off the ground on the side of downed logs I was so upset I’m beating myself up about it because it was a huge buck probably a 5x5
