Great video!!!I love it.I voided the warranty on my bug zapper because I cut some of the plastic bars on the bug zapper grill in order to make it easier for the bugs to make contact with the electrified grill in the bug zapper.I don't have any children to worry about and the bug zapper hangs high off of the floor so shock hazard is not a concern.I got stung by shit yellow jacket in my calf and I swear to you that it felt like I had gotten stuck with a nail,it hurt like all hell.Thank you for this great video,may God always bless and protect you and your family members.Keep making those wasps pay dearly for their peskiness my Brother!!!👍👏

Do you guys use any attractants for deer like mineral licks or baits? Also how do you determine where your placing your stand?
@SoloCamXTOutdoors
@SoloCamXTOutdoors 4 ай бұрын
@@josephdurning7650 Years ago we used to waste a lot of money on attractants like deer urine and mineral blocks, etc. Because marketing convinces us all that it's needed to be successful, About 9 years ago I got a bad batch of deer urine. It took me 3 days of wondering why no deer came near me. Since then I have not used any. We don't introduce any foreign scents at all. Plenty of real deer covering that part. I see more deer than ever from the stand since. I haven't used a mineral block in at least 13 years because all it did was attract bears and other critters. Basically we avoid doing anything that will alter the natural behavior or travel paths, We just wash our hunting clothes in a UV/scent free sport wash and use scent free deodorant. We don't waste money on the cover sprays either. That's it. Picking a good stand location is determined by a few things. Get inside the fringe of the thick stuff, a lot of times you'll need to hack your way in but you'll be amazed how it tends to open up once you get in there. You got to get in their living room, scout with trail cameras on the heavier sign, and set up stands where you see the heaviest pre-season doe traffic. Hunt where the does are. When the rut starts the bucks will come. The stand location in this video was a brand new spot. I ended up getting a decent buck but in hindsight I wished my stand had been deeper in the tree line. Which is where I will be moving it to in the next couple months.

Awesome man! The feed back is appreciated more than you know! I have a tree saddle I’ll be trying this year where I’ll have several pre set locations but the ability to be mobile! Also is your tree umbrella home made? Thinking about building a couple would have come in handy a lot last year
@SoloCamXTOutdoors
@SoloCamXTOutdoors 4 ай бұрын
@@josephdurning7650 I've never tried the saddle but I'm sure it would be great for being mobile. Just to recap on scents, lures and baits, I have had far more success in the past 10 years not using any of that crap. Just let the deer do what they do. I coined a little saying several years ago, "you can't be in the right place at the right time unless you're there all time". LOL Basically means have patience. My 2023 bow season was over in 2.5hrs but I've had it take 10+ days in the stand in a row to get it done. And yes, my roofs are homemade and very durable but probably not suitable for a mobile saddle set up since they're not foldable. A lot of the tree stand umbrellas on the market are very flimsy and cumbersome to set up. But there is one in particular that I have used on one of my stands that has held up for about 6 years so far and is very portable. Here is the link. www.amazon.com/Allen-Company-Treestand-Umbrella-Realtree/dp/B07M7FGLFD/ref=sr_1_5?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.LxuN7tm50cGnVtaxYxpBKWUkcO5waMNHTMRFKAx8vgDuqgkwaPqqDvsjNJKvk9GN4gRvZ-MDkQuNjeGFwEpAQ7_IP7gYbMS6d2V6NP3JfG1WPIUUQzfWdXJtEHDsE7uH5Bx9vcGPYdhWixa6K00PBE2F2caT2fj_aViJ0dH84mbqOT79Uw9YIJU8dRrDFfUaw8seslZPgtJ3jtvBv8i-7JZDaRZDsO0aQwN3t3SSdE3mTdwynMIqtrEmkZF0OpbdzyTyRlzMArNsSdJX7oRh2-cGRBlsCkdLZ1wufCnvovU.GdplI9uneqgf7qN9iC_uiUi7yDcxYsGIzhBrzSdLSdI&dib_tag=se&hvadid=664415978572&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1024453&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=11735660254244403997&hvtargid=kwd-7395232037&hydadcr=9660_13688388&keywords=treestand%2Bumbrellas&qid=1713052626&sr=8-5&th=1

I bet those having this success are better at bow tuning than I am but honestly I have had some issues with these broadheads - they generally shoot well but not exactly like my field points - At ranges like 30-40 yards they hit low but that can be easily fixed (and I am not confident shooting that range in a hunting situation anyway). I also notice that with arrows that fly just a little funny (i.e. any tail kick) I cannot use those arrows with these broadheads - they de-stabilize pretty badly - so make sure you buy good arrows or that you sort through your arrows and remove any that don't fly like lazer beams. The reason I still use these is that they are really tough, easy to sharpen, and will cut through any bone in a whitetail so quartering-to shots are no problem with these broadheads and a draw weight over 55lbs. Nice video - I need to check out your tuning method because its better than mine. BTW what arrows are you using? They seem like great quality!

I see smoke and flames. If there is any dry vegetation that is combustible near or underneath your device, you might start a fire. Think about it. You're using a live 120 volt device which now is engulfed in flames, with many angry insects swarming about. Even a small fire could be 'problematic' and quickly get out of control. Here in California there are civil and criminal charges for initiating a wild fire event.

What attracts the yellow jackets to the trap?
@SoloCamXTOutdoors
@SoloCamXTOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Well, in this case I put it right over the nest opening which gets them upset but then once the first one gets zapped it puts them in a frenzy. But, I'm sure if you were to suspend a chunk of bait in there, like a piece of chicken or something that would work great to..

I agree and it is dangerous especially for babies, young kids, and pets. It's better to eliminate them and do something, rather than it gets to you or to your house. Fantastic choice of weapon or for me, I prefer the much dreaded "flame thrower'. Excellent
