CS 1500. Chain tensioner different to the one in the instructions supplied with my chainsaw! No one answered the phone when I tried to speak to someone at Oregon UK about the mismatch between the instructions and what was in the box but no one answered the phone. Chain saw brilliant once put together. I bought the chainsaw 3rd December 2020. Hope someone will look at the quick start double sheet instructions. It mentions a part about the chain tensioner that it says should be in the box. I thought a part must be missing! The sheet also went on about the importance of a rubber washer and making sure to put it in place but the bar with the tensioner and rubber washer came preassembled. Thank goodness for u tube and members of the public making videos about the cs1500. They confirmed that the instructions were misleading. In short, when you modify your designs please also modify your assembly instructions accordingly.

I have the Oregon electric chainsaw and I love it but I had a question. it seems like the Oilers not putting enough oil on the bar is there a way to make sure that's happening? How is the oiler work?

Hi Dan, The best way to ensure your saw is putting out oil is to remove the bar and chain from the saw, with a full oil tank run the saw until you see oil drip out of the oiling port on the bar pad. Please note that this saw will only drip approximately .091ml per second. Thank you, The Oregon Team

But the self sharpener stone fell off on the 3rd sharpening. So I sharpened it the old fashion way.

do i have to correct the depth gauges after charpening with the self charpening ?

I just bought one and I haven't gotten to look at it yet I did an unboxing and that was it on my KZbin channel how to get out of Babylon but I'm curious it says something like 62 drive links on 18-in bar that doesn't seem bright very many normally they're 72 on a normal change or not and I'm thinking about getting one of the kit a chain the bar in the sharpening tool for my friend who has a lot of problems sharpening it can't do it well anymore he's getting older and he has a lot of problems but anyway he's not repeated on money have to change her but let's put it that way and I wonder if it keep him back to cutting a lot faster having to switch chains and then paying to have them sharpened so often and you know basically keeping him being able to cut wood more extensively

great saw for use on trees and clean wood only.. the convenience of self sharpening is welcoming... if you cut unclean wood like pallets etc and touch a steel nail/screw and the chain is DEAD! Ruined, and cant be sharpened.. You'll need a replacement! Use a conventional chain if cutting wood with nails/screws, they withstand the HIT!

It’s not sharpened the blade it’s just making the rakes shorter and makes the saw feel more aggressive, anyone who’s had to sharpen a saw would know this smh

BY GRINDING OFF THE TOPS OF THE CHAIN TEETH, U Will be replacing chains forever!! ...Dont plan on a lot of cutting without additional expenses of chains👎👎👎

J Dovak On my battery operated CS250 with self sharpening, I replaced a chain after 5 years of decent, but infrequent use - some tree cutting, some lumber cutting). I wish I could tell you the amt of hours. $30 for the replacement chain.
