Oregon Discriminates Against Christian Youth Ministry

Even though 71Five had already been awarded two grants from Oregon to support its mission of serving youth in the community, state officials abruptly rescinded the grant awards in October 2023. The officials accused 71Five of “discrimination” because it expects its employees and volunteers to share its Christian faith and believe in its mission to spread the Gospel. Yet it is the state of Oregon that is discriminating against 71Five by denying the ministry funding simply for following its Christian beliefs in its hiring practices.
ADF attorneys filed a lawsuit on behalf of 71Five, and the case is pending before a federal district court.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that religious institutions can not be discriminated against for their religious beliefs in the Little Sisters of the Poor Saints Peter and Paul Home v. Pennsylvania!

Ex: when tax payer money is involved. besides, Jesus hated the church/temple and tossed the tables inside that Temple. God will not help any body that defies Jesus' Command to "render on to caesar". pay taxes, not a church, as per Jesus' instructions. The Bible does not allow women to lead, let alone speak in public.
