Oregon House Bill 2001 is geared toward making it easier to build "Middle Housing", this includes duplexes, triplexes, ADUs, etc.
The goal of this 2019 bill is to help improve our housing supply to come closer to the demand (which will hopefully stablizie prices as well) and to diversify neighborhoods that have previously been unaffordable and unattainable for lots of working class citizens.
This is a pressing and complicated issue, housing has a major impact on the people of our communities and their ability to live a safe and stable life. I understand some aspects of this bill may be controversial, I would love to hear your thoughts! The more people that get involved in finding solutions the better.
