Just got one of these as heavy-artillery support for Oregon double-edge version. Haven't given it a proper edge yet. Checking both with blade balancer- Whoah! Both need serious balancing. Having pretty much balanced the double-edge version, the reduction in vibes is spectacular, IMO. FYI, "mulching" means they work like wild-land blenders- no surprise there.

So which do you prefer, the 2 tooth or 3 tooth blade?
@WoolysWorld2 жыл бұрын
I've never tried the two tooth one, sorry
@hollowpoint88002 жыл бұрын
No problem, I bought the 2 tooth version and was surprised how heavy it felt, I've a 5 acre field I do graze with sheep every 3 years, I don't own livestock so I don't put anything on it except when the grass gets abit mental so once every 3 years for 2 mths I lease it out for rough grazing, problem is the briars appear after the sheep are gone and then thrive cause nothing keeps them short for the next 3 years. I had problems last time with the guys sheep getting badly tangled up in the briars and the more they fought to free themselves the more tangled they became. I couldn't afford to get a tractor and mulcher or quad and flail mower in so I bought the 2 pronged blade after seen some vids on here and holy fuck I am beyond impressed, completely mulched large swathes of briars 120mtrs long by about 10 mtrs wide, turned them to dust, even gorse bushes up to an inch and a half thick, savage blade that does an amazing job, can't rate it highly enough. Was tempted to go for the 3 tooth but didn't know if she'd be a bit heavy for my SGS 5 in 1, anyway 10 out of 10 for me.
@WoolysWorld2 жыл бұрын
Completely agree, I was blown away at how effective it is, great tool
@MrBillmechanic10 ай бұрын
@hollowpoint8800 YEAH, me too. After much youtube research, i clearly saw that blowing 40 Grand for a tractor with bucket, bush hog, front end loader were ridiculous for clearing my six acres of bramblels, saplings, and general jungle. A DR chippper, stump grinder, and clearing saw equippped with the 3 prong and 2 pronged Oregon brushcutter blade were all I needed. Smaller tools, much cheaper than a tractor and implements, and easier to maintain.

@@Bojangles2007 Please see my very recent comment about these blades needing balancing, and what a difference it made to my double-ender already. Unfortunately one of the best balancers will cost around $80, so maybe ask at a lawn-mower dealer. It'll be worth a try. Good luck.
