Looking at the schedule we have for next year I would be ok with rolling with the Young guys with our hardest game being Penn St next year
@michaelsmith923519 күн бұрын
Great take. I was thinking the same thing. Let’s be competitive and develop these younger players for the Ducks future success.
@classic_man_q19 күн бұрын
@michaelsmith9235 only position i don't mind them upgrading is LB and Saftey and then with the 2 tackles we got besides them roll with the Young guys especially at WR and RB I believe in Riggs Lamir and Harris and then people forget we got Jeremiah McCellan let him and who ever else is here let them go play

@paulkovac968518 күн бұрын
Stewart should come back. He’d be the number 1 guy and numbers would improve. Making him higher pick in draft.
@teamdonkey18 күн бұрын
Opposite in my mind. Running backs don't have long careers, James might go even with a 4th round grade. Evan Stewart though, has high round potential but weak stats. I think he comes back to try to climb into the 2nd or 1st round.
@runDATrun618 күн бұрын
@ I think we can Jordan James more money than he would make his rookie year. 5 star wide receivers with e stews talent level get super impatient and either want to get out of college ASAP or transfer to a school that will force feed him the football

Seems like Stewart needs to get out of the shadow of Tez and have a full year to shine as WR1, then he enters the draft. Aside from the games this year when Tez is out, Stewart wasn't involved as much.

Ty Thompson probably peaked in high school. It happens. Thanks to Oregon's coaches that were able to identify that this might well be the case. They gave him every opportunity. He couldn't rise to the occasion. Saw the Tulane - Florida game. Yikes, lack of passion and confidence. Ain't going to work in football.
@CalebTrask19 күн бұрын
He could possibly make an NFL roster, as a the guy who comes in for QB sneaks, and placeholder/fake kicks. In any case, at least he got a free college education. That's something most people don't get in life.
@NIKE-Duck19 күн бұрын
~ Ty Thompson was so bad in that game. I've literally never seen a QB that lost on the field in my life.... Including High school. It was that bad

I also was dissapointed with Ty. I was hoping he ball out..The fact that he had declared for the portal should have motivated him to put something good on tape. The thing I noticed with Ty is that he is slow on his delivery. I mean if he is going to throw to the back for example, he slowly turns to him and slowly throws the ball to him, in a lazy manner. That gives the defense a lot of time to react. I think Donte Moore is better but I have also seen that type of lazy mannerisms from him when he drops back. Daniel and Bo are not like that. They play alert and at a high speed. I hope Donte balls out next year. He should be ready.

Spencer question for you ? I was watching Dan lanning last season coaching Georgia defense and they were just amazing .. 3 years fast forward and I still haven’t seen that reciprocated defense.. I know tosh is running our defense and I don’t want to sound down on him but if we’re comparing both defense their is a major difference.. it seems like every time we play big opponents, our defense doesn’t live up to its hype .. do you think it’s because of scheme? Players being undisciplined etc ? Just want to hear your thoughts on the eye test of this Oregon defense
@oregonxyz17 күн бұрын
Georgia's defensive players in 20 and 21 were unreal. Its the players. Oregon this year could be better at linebacker. Boetcher has had his moments at time.
@elijahwheeler149319 күн бұрын
Bryce Boetcher is eligible for another season(football only;) due to a covid year. Word is Dan will roll out NLI money to keep him. If Evan is our number 1 WR option, we missed out on some TPs and this recruiting class.

When did one and done O line guy work out? Answer: there was a year I think that they brought in a center from Notre Dame for a year. I think it was about maybe 7 year ago or something like that.
@oregonxyz17 күн бұрын
What makes you sure Lanning wants to do a rebuilding year next year? New QB, OTs, WRs, possible RB, Nose guard, DT, DE, LBs, and the entire secondary At some point, you have to start using your own players, or you become Colorado.

Stewart's calculation is pretty simple -- if he makes more money next year at Oregon than in the NFL, he stays. And I think there's a fairly decent chance of that. I'm not the tiniest but worried about RB next year.

Years and years ago the old pickup trucks had a Granny gear in them. When Ty Thompson played for Nix when he went down in his first year with Oregon Ty looked like he was in granny gear. He looked like he had just woke up from a nap and was groggy or something. Nix then came back in and was super energetic in comparison. I felt bad for Ty. Go figure.

BOTH need to return to increase their draft stock. Both are undersized, and might not be drafted very high
@thesandman91819 күн бұрын
Ducks succeed when they lean on JJ, going all the way back to last season. You could see in the PAC12 Championship while they leaned on JJ they were doing great and then one of the last possessions they had Bucky in and with all the shifty trying to make something work it caused the offense to stall and then game over. Glad this year they've been leaning on JJ and he's proven he's the one they can do that with. Whittington is one of those where if he's not clicking, go back to JJ and they're good. If Whittington is going off, Ducks are playing with house money and they're impossible to stop. It'd be awesome if James came back but with the short life of an NFL running back it seems to me he'll be leaving. We'll see

When a player has a breakout year they expect a bigger nil number now. They shop around if they feel not taken care of. College is a complicated business these days. Interesting to see big money move into the education system.

~ He suffered a major injury his senior year and it changed him. He lost a step and hasn't gotten it back. Super sad. He would of been the #4 WR right now and would of been a starter next year if it weren't for that injury. I myself shattered my hand on an opening kickoff my senior year and it's never been the same. Two surgeries and it never gained the grip strength back.
@johnjubie714419 күн бұрын
@NIKE-Duck So is the consensus that's he's done?
@NIKE-Duck19 күн бұрын
@@johnjubie7144 ~ That's what it's trending towards... Of course, we don't know the NIL deals in place and what the coaches are telling Jurrion Dickey about playing time next year. If I were to bet money on it, I'd bet he's in the portal after this season.
~ Ty Thompson.......... What can you say. That was LITERALLY one of the top 3 worst performances I've ever seen at QB in all of football.. It was brutally bad. They could of put a WR in at QB and did exactly the same as Thompson did.
