If I were one of those QBs, I would have to be looking long and hard at what teams end up in the top 15 who clearly need a QB, and what that situation is set up to be, as far as the organization and the coaching staff and front office stability and competence, and potential roster construction. Depending on what that shakes out as, would be what I base my decision on, if I were on the fence already. If I were a guy like Nuss in LSU, who clearly needs more playing time and development, I wouldn’t enter the draft, because the chances of it getting better by jumping into the draft, are stupendously low. For a guy like Milroe, who may have some inconsistency at times, but is also supremely talented and just needs refined a little better, it would be more so depending on the chances I end up getting picked by a terrible franchise and end up with the whole franchise tossed on my back on day 1, in going back to college just to give myself a better environment to continue that refinement process in a place where there isn’t so much nonsense and turmoil coming from the top down and being blamed all on me and damaging my career.

I can agree, but at the same time, I wonder if he'd benefit from being in a different program. Baker and Sam have proven that sometimes it isnt the player it is the orginization. QB self confidence is probably the most valuable trait in the entire league. You get your confidence down and it's just over. Goff the biggest example of this, things weren't good in LA for him towards the end of his time there, he got shipped away and started out rough in Detroit with everyone starting to close the page on his book, now he's Mr Michigan and they chant his name anywhere you go. We saw at the start of this season when Young got his self confidence OBLITERATED, dude was on the verge of tears it looked like week 2. He got some time off, came back, and has had some feels good moments and highlights where he looks confident again. Not saving the team yet, but making that improvement. Whether their new or vets, you gotta support them and put them in environments to succeed

NY Giants need the old school way of building a team. First build a competent OL, next draft defensive needs. Draft a RB 3 or 4 round. Sign a free agent QB as a place holder. Next year draft a QB and continue filling needs. Let drafted QB sit behind the placeholder QB, to learn the pro offense.

It amazes me how we talk about teams needing to draft a QB even if the QB projects to be below average. If I were a fan I would be more cautious in making sure my team drafts the right QB instead of the most available one. Drafting the wrong QB is usually more punishing for franchises than waiting extra years for the right QB to come out of the draft. I understand that we are talking about real people trying to save their jobs as executives but saying that you would draft a QB early if it meant getting one is exactly how the Giants got Daniel Jones.

The Raiders targeted 1 QB last year and tried to trade three first round picks for him but Washington said no. They weren't willing to trade up for the other QB's. Who told you guys QB's are turnkey operations? You want to rewind the tape and listen to Mel talk about Jamarcus? Today Col. Sanders pushed a ref and the Kansas players were just abusing him. He's a punk and easily triggered because he is immature. Raiders might as well sign Michael Crabtree or Antonio Clown at QB. One at a time is good fishing. Daniel Jones is a free agent on Monday. Raiders should explore if he doesn't sign with another. Drew Allar is the sleeper in the draft. He is the Mahomes/Allen love child. He is a project but has the best arm.
