This 'lack of trust' is, in a way is a nice catalyst of sort which keeps IN-US dynamics in balance - to Bharat's advantage. I hope it stays this way for good.

Khalistani Pannun issue has proved that US will continue to play games and talk in forked tongue to keep India on the edge. US ambassador told Indian media about Pannun threats that we don't take words seriously of an individual.

Not one speaker has any expertise in matters of tot/ ipr/joint manufacturing/source code sharing etc.Weather it is covered component wise/assemblies/subsystem etc.Generalities are not required. Specific experienced techies with intercountry definition on tot/ ipr are needed to be invited. Case studies examples of similar indo-us partnership have to be presented.I am sorry to mention that none of the speakers had any idea of clause by clause discussions on such issues. Exonerating USA for nonsupply of 404 engines is unpardonable. Delayed supply penalties shud be applied on GE.Kaveri shud b pursued on warfooting.Parallel negotiations be carried with other countries.

These are crucial debates. We need to have more immersive ones. We need to have a better appreciation of the nuances in American behavior and pronouncements. Even at the common man's level.

@aryaman05 no one gives 100% ToT. Period...hence, the begging. How long has it been? How many companies have you talked to already?

@@NCM-xy8ow How long has it been ? Can't blame a man for trying, can you ? It's still backed up by cash, it's called negotiation, and it's work in progress.

There is a lot of takeaway from the discussions. While it is true that the Americans are transactional in looking at the gift horse India in the mouth, India is no less transactional. American business leaders take risks in the way Indian industrialists have not. You just have to look at the $100m dollars of his own money that Musk ploughed into Space X, almost his entire fortune. Indian companies spend little to nothing on R&D yet expect super profits which can only come from the sort of risks and innovation that Musk has taken. The same Indian companies sniff their noses at the ideas created by Indian startups but would then happily pay a small fortune when an American company sells it to them. Americans when they won their independence invested their whole being in making it the success that it is at the risk of failing. It is in character building that India is lacking. For too long words have substituted for action. The discussion panel still quibbles about China with the refusal to forge ahead to see the QUAD it as a security alliance for India. India wants to be that nail that wants to stick out with the proud boast of its independent security that it can withstand a Chinese attack. It is is hard to see it doing so. The West should be concerned at India's vulnerability. It will weaken their hand but defeat for the West is not inevitable it can hold the lines of the South China Seas. India needs to wake up smell the coffee.
