So nice to see this interview after watching his incredible Longwood concert. He's very literate and articulate. This lets his admirers get to know him as a person a little bit.

Many thanks, Sebastian, for a really fascinating and informative interview. I’m immensely happy to see so many younger people learning to play the organ and achieving great musical and technical ability. It has been an immense joy and privilege to be able to listen to you play the Queen of Instruments with such inspired musicality and outstanding technicalability. You have a gift which gives happiness to all who listen. From being a chorister and organist at Bach’s church in Leipzig to an organist appreciated worldwide for playing Bach I think you can be assured of his approval.

That was a fascinating insight into the role of the organist and the complexities of playing this magnificent and versatile instrument. Thank you very much.

This boy is not only an amazingly talented person but a musicologist as well. What an amazing background. I hope this boy goes far. He makes other young organists look like beginners. It is little wonder why that boy won the Longwood Competition. And congratulations for that. It was an amazing performance. No Astounding display of technical and musical abilities. I knew it - His description of the stops - had to be Casavant

I can't wait to find a link to this concert, especially if on a Casavant.

@@KKIcons If you knew anything about Longwood you would know it is definitely NOT a Casavant. Look for postings with Sebastian's name and you will get further faster. Especially if it is a Casavant. You couldn't tell the difference if it fell on your face.

@@organbuilder272 I do believe Sebastian was talking about the Westminster United Church Organ, which IS, in fact a Casavant. Perhaps, you would read KK Icon's post again, and see the correct context for the Longwood reference

HA! I also practise in the middle of the night. I can relate to what he said.

Practicing the organ at night has a history that goes back to the beginning of organ playing.

Most organists know what it means to be burning the midnight oil. The church is empty at night. Best time to practice.
