Hey Mark! Thanks for checking out the song ❤ Didn't expect to ever see myself in one of these haha Pretty good analysis mate 🫡 my mid/growl is done a lil different than was explained though. I'm more of an open face up like a Muppet and "Hah hah" like I'm warming my hands on a cold day kinda growl. Other than that the guttural and scream stuff is bang on. Cheers, Alex

you mentioned near the end to think about metal vocals as just a speaking voice. on the other hand if you think about slam/brutal death vocals as another instrument in the mix it makes it a lot easier to learn how to do those more percussive vomity sounding vocals.

Peeling Flesh 211/187+FFWAS is also really good slam with some rap snippets from 90s rap. It goes hard and the drummer just makes the song very fun. It’s got your slam vocals, you’re pig squeals and some I would call hardcore vocals. I could be wrong on the hardcore vocals part..

Never saw your channel before but the algorithm happened to bring it and was interesting since I never heard of death metal vocal coaching but since I'm almost 50 can say back 25 years ago could've used one and maybe not damaged my voice permanently. I personally think you aren't taking into consideration that his vocals are unique because he is imitating death metal American style vocals with his heavy New Zelander accent. 75% of death metal is still Americans and the UK, Europe and Australia makes up the rest. If you listen to the modern female Aussie vocalists of Volitile Ways, or Spains Escuela Grind, or female Scottish singer of cerebral bore or even the French Canadian old skool band despised icon these dynamic ranges of their vocals are hard to replicate simply based on their specific accents version of spoken english which is not your personal version of speaking American English. To me in all these years of concerts Alex the terrible, Adam Warren, and Trevor Strnad (RIP) are the top 3 most impressive sounding live to sound better then as recorded. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🤟

Sick that you did a video on them; i actually saw them live just last week in vienna when they opened for Suffo; I don't remember much of the evening tbh, but all I know is that Organectomy ripped and that there was a girl right beside me that showed really obvious interest in me which made me insecure as hell and I therefore didn't approach her; we all make mistakes i guess 🫠
