I use duck pond water for all my fruit trees. It's more denser than chicken manure. The manure in the water is water soluble fertilizer.

how do you determine the amount of duck manure that you need to put on the plant, if your plant requires NPK of 15-11-11?

you can't always determine in manure since it varies a lot, I just put it like until I can tell that's enough. Anyways composted manure is slow released and generally won't do harm

I was wondering the same kind of questions yesterday night! I got an answer by reading research articles on Google scholars 😆. I'm a kind of geek. Long story short let's take you have 10kg of chicken manure at 4-2-2 ratio and want to make 16-8-8 (easier) fertilizer . It would mean you need 4x more, N, P and K. In general the amount of nitrogen needed overall for plants grown in agriculture makes it that they apply between 1 to 10 tons of chicken manure per acre. This makes it 100g to 1kg per square meter. So if applying 1kg per square meter is the maximum dosage it means you would need to use 4kg per square meter of 4-2-2 manure to make it 16-8-8 for the plant

@@flashmp3 I've been trying to figure this out for awhile. Not 100% sure if my method is the correct calculation, but the ratio of N-P-K in the manure is a percentage of 100. For duck, the N-P-K is 2.8-2.3-1.7, which means that for every 100g of duck manure, there is 2.8g N, 2.3g P and 1.7g K. every day a duck poop about 50g, that means a duck will generate = 50g x 365 days = 18,250g = 18.25kg of manure per year. The quantity of NPK for one duck will be 18.25kg x 2.8/100 = 0.51kg N; 18.25kg x 2.3/100 = 0.42kg P; 18.25kg x 1.7/100 = 0.31kg K; If I am growing bamboo which requires 105kg N, 23kg P, and 38kg K per hectare per year, then I need to figure out how many ducks will achieve that quantity of NPK. For N, that will be 105kg/0.51kg = 206 ducks. For P, that will be 23kg/0.42kg = 55 ducks; For K, will be 38kg/0.31kg = 123 ducks. The correct number of ducks will be the largest figure of these, which is 206 ducks. The proof is to actually test this out, meaning having 206 ducks per hectare of bamboo plantation. That’s true. The NPK he used for chicken is wrong. Same for all the NPK’s he used. Rabbit has highest NPK among all domestic livestock .
