*_raw milk_* - I eat dairy every day, cheese or yogurt or both, etc. but can't recall the last time I've had a glass of milk. Ha. In the U.S. raw milk can be sold in retail stores in 10 states and direct from the farm in 16 additional states so basically half the country. Still quite hard to find. *_bakery_* - Along with the Lamingtons mentioned I spotted some neenish tarts. Don't have them in the U.S. so they were on my Sydney list. *_meat pie_* - So happy Sheena had a squeeze bottle this time. Shooting ketchup all over her hand from an individual ketchup packet had me rolling during your first NZ series. 😂 *_Enjoyed the dairy farm segment immensely. Well done._* 👍
@ChasingaPlate4 жыл бұрын
😂 thank god for the sauce bottle this time! Went through a couple of those on our 2 month trip 😆 I have noticed how popular Neenish Tarts are here in the small town bakeries! They were never my go to bakery treat but I do like them! They seem like a right palaver to make so have never attempted it 😂 That’s very interesting about the raw milk sales in the US. Thanks for the info Tosh! It’s not overly common here- Siah and Ellen said the costs associated with the strict health checks and tests which are conducted on a regular basis are a deterrent. So happy you enjoyed this visit mate! Cheers, Sheena

That milk looked so good, almost a buttery yellow colour with such a high cream content. Just wondered what the shelf (fridge) life would be on raw milk?, in Australia pasteurized milk has 10 days shelf life which just goes to show its defiantly not "fresh". The porridge would have me doing an Oliver Twist after one bowl!! Mmm Donuts, we call that a Long John rather than a Long Donut obviously we took an American term. But the real highlight has got to be those gorgeous cows, they are the healthiest, happiest cows l have ever seen, there skin and eyes just glow. I know this is a food vid but thankyou both for including the cows, the gorgeous dog and a chook for the younger viewers!!! She says to say Mooooo.

Wasn’t the colour of the milk just amazing. Gosh it was yum. Far better than any milk I’ve had before. Hi Thomas & Sheena. Thank you for your videos. My wife & I have been greatly inspired & motivated to visit NZ soon, hopefully by next Spring in 2021. Plan to fly in from Malaysia to either Queenstown or Christchurch & Motorhome our way up to Auckland. Do you guys think that's ideal? Plan to travel for 3-4 weeks with 4 paxs. Keep your adventures coming.
@ChasingaPlate3 жыл бұрын
Hi Philip, thanks for watching and for commenting. We’re so glad you’re enjoying the series. What a great trip you have planned! We would fly into Queenstown and work upwards to Auckland- that way you won’t have to backtrack so far. Or think about using the time to do one island and see more and travel slower. It really depends on how you want to do it and what you want to see. We’re excited for you! Hope our NZ content helps you out with trip planning 😄 Cheers, Sheena

@donball97774 жыл бұрын
@@ChasingaPlate well it was ten years old and had started to move on its own, but yes I wasn't happy.yes you can get them here, you don't see many though, the bush shirt was popular for a while when Ray Mears wore one on one of his TV shows. Mostly it's farm workers , foresters and hunters who buy them here. They are eye wateringly expensive.

They sure are perfect for people in that line of work and hobby. I’ve always loved their gear and I’m so glad I’ve got that jacket. They have a few shops in malls here now so it’s nice and easy to get hold off which is great!

Pomx ah the salmon. I see. We’re not vegetarian and we fully understand what needs to happen when we make the choice eat meat. That is why we never waste food and we also fish etc so we know the whole process food has to go through to end up on our plates. Thomas
