I have to store so many herbs and spices I grow and buy in bulk, so store in Mason jars, if I dont keep things organized it gets to be cluttered, enjoyed the video, xoxoxo

Hello Whippoorwill Holler, growing your own and buying in bulk is definitely the best, especially when you can have plenty of back up stored away. Mason jars would be great for the back up supplies I’m thinking. Nice to see you 😊

Hi Elissa, Wow - this is amazing!! I love this spice rack that you made for the counter - and that little hook for the spoon was so clever. I love the things you hand make!! And the jars are gorgeous. Those paint markers are so clever - and could be used for so many projects! And that book case type shelf that you have is fantastic - what a collection of herbs and spices you have - and all so accessible love that!! So sharing this!! Love, Mary

Hello sweet Mary from Mary's Nest, The book shelf was a $2 find (crazy I know) I added a shelf and painted /lacquered it to match the table and hutch, so the spice rack followed in that theme, except I bought the wood. I had been wanting the bookshelf for a long time, I visualised it in its place and it manifested. It’s so much easier to have the dry goods on the book shelf, than in the pantry. Of course the pantry is still full but I rarely run out anything. I’m back making bone broth regularly and wondered why I stopped, of course the insane summer isn’t conducive to the slow cooker being on but now it’s cooler I’m enjoying it again and think of you when I make it. 😀💕 Mary - the bone broth queen 👑

I just have them lined up inside an upper cabinet that is next to the stove. I got home from visiting my relatives in the Philippines on Sunday but I'm late catching up on here. It was fun visiting with them and eating all the delicious foods. I'm so happy to be home as near the end I was getting homesick. I already miss the food since everything I've eaten at home has disagreed with me. Need to get the the Asian grocery store soon. Hopefully next time Lee and our son Daniel can come with me. First Daniel has to learn to stay calm and have patience. Unfortunately forgot my camera at home and wouldn't have had space in the bag Mom had me use. I don't have a cell phone. Poor Mom though got criticized since I don't wear makeup or wear nail polish. I'm mostly geeky kind of tomboy and only slightly girly. I never liked wearing a lot (Back when I did I'd only wear a little concealer or foundation as I don't like feeling like I'm wearing a mask, my eyes are on the watery side and hooded so makeup wouldn't stay on their anyway, and lip color just comes off, and for some reason never wore blush either) but haven't been interested since our younger son Thomas died of SIDS eight years. I would rather spend the money on the my hobbies which help keep me from over thinking about my loss. The family mostly took group pictures instead of their food. Someone commented on who the weird white girl was. I was the only white girl in the photos as the rest of the family there has tan skin color. Only Carl who is dating one of my relatives has a similar skin color to me but it was my first time since I was five years old and Carl has been there more times than I have.

Hello Jean Woodall, I am so sorry for your loss, I bet Thomas was a wonderful little boy and more importantly he was your little boy and the fact that his time here was way too short, must be...... actually I can’t even imagine how it must be...so I will just send you love 💕 It is so lovely to see you back online and I’m glad you enjoyed your trip and delicious food in the Philippines, even if, not everyone appreciated your awesomeness! I’m sure you Mum was thrilled you were there with her too. Having your spices nearby to the stove is very practical for creating culinary masterpieces 😊

Nice work! I too only want glass! Great pen. I only use certain dried herbs, so I have room in the cabinet. Many fresh herbs outside for the bunnies and bees plus Rue to keep neighbor cats out of the garden. I have an aversion to their manure in my garden bed. Thank you for the upload.

Hello Fran Looving lovely to see you here and thank you. Fresh herbs are just so wonderful aren’t they and I am glad the Rue is working for you. I am a big fan of poop for composting but dog and cats isn’t what you want on your garden. 😊

Hello Rebeca an, thank you 😊 glass jars are the best, all my bigger storage jars are from 30 years of coffee, so much better to reuse them.

@@MoatCottage are those 4 oz Mason or the ones with rubber gasket and clamp down lids?
@MoatCottage5 жыл бұрын
Audrey Stewart no they are not Mason jars, they are called Mini Apothecary Jars and under the glass lid is a small plastic seal. 😫 The bigger jars on the book shelf are the same, but come with coffee in them. My Grandmother got me started, by gifting me some when I first moved out and I still add to them - they are so handy and hardy, I even have some in the fridge.
