Looks much better! I know that French rooms often have books, but to me they look like clutter if not on shelves. I would also suggest for the future, more dark wood furniture to mix with the white, just a couple more pieces. Dark and ivory look great together if done correctly.

🇬🇧 Good morning Nicholas, Have you ever thought of redesigning other people's rooms, ( at their request) , and using that for your utube videos. That is, when you've completely sorted out your own space. For myself, I don't intend altertering my house in any way. It's been the same for 20 years. It's in neutrals , fairly plain , and it's slightly modernistic with a just a few antiques dotted around. Walls are Dulux matte , colour is Egyptian Cotton. I didn't paint right up to the ceiling, but finished about 18" down. It's very hard to achieve an accurate line where the ceiling meets the walls, so this idea works well.

I love to be organized too and I know how great it feels when everything has a home and is tucked away so I applaud you for getting Nathan to help you with that task. I love your fancy leather cord tamers - sure beats my toilet paper rolls (loo rolls), which aren't pretty but are really efficient and great recycling on my part. For future picture hanging - if they sell 3M Command Hooks in the UK, they come in various sizes and strengths and are wonderful for hanging pictures and come off when you decide to change without leaving any marks on the wall. They also have Velcro ones that are strong enough to hold a stereo sound bar on the side of an entertainment unit as we have for the past 10 years. There are ones for glass as well as ones for outdoor use.

Loving the video, Nicolas. My opinion hasn't changed since the last one, though. The white lamp shades still appear drab to me, especially since they're so similar to the wall color. Lamp shades of color always add so much character to a room!

Love your home! Mine is very similar in layout and furniture! I have the desk/table behind the sofa with the lamp and your lovely french sofa that is in the bedroom, against the drawing room wall. I have the dining chairs against the wall . I do have a narrow padded bench against the foot of the bed. Your kitchen is lovely!

Very beautiful and comfy home, Nicolas. A future tip for hanging pictures: 3M Command picture hangers. No hammering or drilling and they're removable. I also use a small piece of nano tape at the bottom of pictures to prevent them from shifting over time.

Oh, how nice and orderly everything looks! Good job, Nathan and Nicolas! My suggestion for an easy fix for the unsightly back wall of your kitchen cabinet is one I used for the same situation in my bathroom medicine cabinet: I bought a roll of white contact paper (Amazon) and applied that to the back wall -- quick, easy, no painting! I thought I had a lot of china and tea pots -- you win! Who among us can open every closet and drawer for inspection?? Again, you win! All your work is paying off!

We didn’t get to see your lavatory and bathroom? Although it was good to check out your back passage for the first time (with the ceiling lampshades you dislike). Also, be aware that if your store your pongs-n-potions in the cupboard where the boiler is, the heat from it may melt or decompose the gels and creams, and the pongs may evaporate or just go rancid or, worse still, the alcohol in the perfumes may cause the bottles to explode which, apart from anything else, would be a waste of perfume.

Great job. So pleased the painting is in it's proper place above the drinks cabinet. The loveseat at the bottom of your bed needs to go before the day ends. It's too big, cumbersome and jarring to the eye. Bedside lamps, 👌 Buy a Cricut Lable printer for your books. Now, I need to follow your example and edit all the unnecessary things in my home. I thought I was organised!!!

Love the idea of the brown book covers; they look beautiful! I’ve done the same with my collection of cookbooks-a genre typically featuring very colorful and gaudy designs. For all the books I store in the kitchen, I used waxed linen instead of paper. It’s easy to wipe off and comes in different tones of white and beige.

Kudos to you for doing what I have been dreading and that is to organize my kitchen. One suggestion and that is before you invest in a linen press or a tallboy or highboy in the states is to replace your sideboard or buffet. with a nice antique or reproduction Hepplewhite or Sheraton style one in a lovely wood finish. A nice gold leaf mirror would look nice to. I know how expensive things are and it takes baby steps. My cousin just gave me a beautiful antique portrait of my great, great Grandmother with a beautiful gold leaf frame painted in 1844. Keep up the good work! Fitzhugh

I'm on the last leg of my linen closet renovation and makeover. I must say, clearing out the old and renovating the space has really done something for my home even though it is a space people won't see. Whenever I do go into it, I get a bit of joy and that is how every part of our homes should be! Your home is really a reflection of you Nicholas and it is really lovely!
