Ok so my system on what to keep. My son is in preschool and literally brings stuff home everyday. I hang it up on the fridge for a few days and then I have an Amazon box and I keep just the stuff that is sentimental (for Thanksgiving made a turkey that says thankful for and he wrote mommy 😍) And the things that impress you (that sounds bad but like the first paper my son wrote his name on completelyon his own). Definitely 1 thing from each "holiday" that they make for you. My mom still has the things I made for her when little on a box and we have sat down and gone thru them and the memories are beautiful.

For a nice display, preschools often have a clothesline type arrangement that is very cute. After a week or so of artwork, maybe pick one to save and then take photos of the best. Saving everything gets difficult and isn't practical. She can send photos to grandparents and I bet she'd like that. She's getting old enough to enjoy sharing her work with family members 😊 I'm a big believer in arts and crafts too. Nice job organizing!

You already organize that cart a while back i would recommend not buy anything else in your next target run keep it it organized just use what she has first before buying more you will end with the same mess it would drive me crazy i feel like you do this without realizing then the mess builds up and is worst just keep it simple it looks great now you did a great job i agree getting another cart keep things out the floor it looks less crowded i also recommend getting those colors out there so your dining room looks more like an adult zone how about in the office in joes area just a thought or upstairs in guest room or garage outside where joe does exercise joes comment how your brain is a million things and clutter that was funny 😄 thats how moms are one million things to do and think i now virgos are very organized in their head my husband is the same way

I saw the best idea for kids art the other day! Make an Instagram for them so you can add a picture of it and who/what/when. Then you can use a service like Chatbooks to have them printed into a little memory book. I only have a 10 month old but definitely on my to do list when he gets older!

My LO is only 6 months old so we don't have to worry about saving any crafts yet but my grandmother designated a large storage tote to each of us and she filled each with all of the crafts we did over the years. If it got too full to fit more, we'd go through together and pick what we'd want to keep.

Suggestion for the bins. You might want to have the educational stuff in that smaller bin, and move those target dollar spot painting sets into the larger bin with all the other paints. Less likely to accidentally get paint all over the nice educational stuff! And then all the painting stuff is in one bin instead of spread out over 2 Thanks for the lovely video :) I'm excited to start introducing my baby to arts and crafts!

The way I organize it for my two year old is in a three drawer sterilite unit that i store in his closet (walk-in closet). That's the only area where I can store educational material, stickers, paints, arts and crafts and all that good stuff. Allocating only that space to store everything and not allowing myself to buy more until that's used up did wonders for me. Also, downstairs I keep the flisat ikea table and use one side with a shallow bin to store some arts and crafts materials and just rotate it as I feel he starts to loose interest. The other side I use it as a sensory bin with corn kernels. If I were you I would only keep one of each category and rotate it or just a few things to use at a time. Just store everything else in the basement since you have the space. Kids don't do well with so many options, it's too complicated and they end up making an even bigger mess. Just a thought, it keeps this mamma sane and it looks much cleaner. On another note, I have seen companies that send you a box to throw all your kids drawings/painting or whatever else and they make you a book with the items. Not sure what it's called but I'm sure you can Google it.

Nothing like some kid's paint to make you question your Master's 😂 I feel like I've done the same thing - "I have a Master's, come on this can't be that hard!" with SO many of my daughters things too! Did pregnancy take some of my brain cells, or do they make these things unnecessarily complicated on purpose? Or...perhaps it's the perpetual fatigue getting to us?

This seems like more stuff to organize ever more stuff that you acquire and it never returns to a manageable status without more tchotchkes to contain yet more tchotchkes. I am exhausted. It's like the Great Pacific Garbage Patch of plastics floating between California & Hawaii. Or I think it's called Joyxee Island in the Mexican Caribbean that is made of netted plastics trash. It cannot do your mental health or the children's temperaments any good to be so over-burdened.

Girl, you got a master's degree to be in stay-at-home mom? I seriously don't mean that rude, it just makes me giggle. I have friends like that, too but I get that you know you want a back up plan. It's nice to have. I also have a friend she went to school to be a dietitian, and she didn't even do her internship so she can't even get a job as a dietitian if she wanted to she'd have to probably do her internship I don't know how that would work... but... I think she graduated got like a bachelor's degree but didn't ever do the internship she would need to get a job as a dietitian. I did too associate programs and a certificate program so three programs (I went to two separate community colleges, the local one and then and also online one so I mean it's a college but I didn't really go there I went online). After all the time and money I spent, I should have probably just gotten a bachelor's or Master's myself instead, to be honest. I just couldn't figure out my s***. Lol. So yeah I definitely can't judge I'm just kind of laughing you have a master's degree to stay home but like I said it would have made more sense for me to do that too anyways.
