I bought a GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax with an aluminum service box, for all my tools. I just purchased a 8.5 x 24 cargo trailer that I'm converting to a house for me and my Harley. Trying to get ready to roof the house and hit the road. Thinking of summer jobs in Colorado or Washington, and Winter in Arizona. But that's me, I'm 55 and thank God single.😁

Cool video good ideas. Thanks for posting. I use an old 60”bathroom vanity built a top for it with 2x12s. That’s where most of my power tools are located. Also mounted a wood lath on the top. Put some of the HarborFreight wooden furniture movers on the bottom.

Derek, great job with the grinder rack. What about the welding organization please? I got the simple welding cart from harbor freight and now with all of the accessories, I wish I would have got a bigger cart! 🤣👍

Nice 👍 I repurposed a kitchen cabinet, just took off the doors. The shelf is wide enough to keep my chainsaws without bars. Its sitting on some 4x4s to make it tall enough to keep a toolbox on top.

My grandpa has an incredible garage, but it’s allllllll repurposed material! Two of the most memorable things for me personally were: 1) He built some simple wood shelves and bolted plastic jar lids to the bottom of them. He keeps various materials he uses often organized in the jars, so all he has to do is unscrew them from their lids and put them back when he’s done! 2) He uses PVC pipe for some many things, but one in particular was badass. I think he found the idea online somewhere, so you might find it. He cut a vertical gap in the PVC and attached it, gap facing the floor, to the bottom of his workbench where he could slide his power tools in with the handle hanging out the bottom. The PVC cradled the tools he used most often right within hands reach. Different size PVC for different tools, but it all worked the same. I would think there needs to be backing, too, so you don’t push them all the way through and drop them in the flow of things.(:

Awesome! On one hand I like clean, fresh, and new, but on the other I definitely appreciate those who can take old junk and make it into something useful!

Battery tools remount on bottom of top shelf. This will hang the tools and allow little room on the shelf they are on now for batteries/charging station.

The shelves you got there at 3:00, I got a bunch of similar ones from Costco. They were pretty cheap, and awesome shelves, really deep too. I really like your angle grinder rack!

Could you do a shop tour?

I think the newest husky boxes and US General are by far the best tool boxes. (Huskey for the really large boxes that you’d normally need to buy the icon brand at HF for)
