You had it, but masked it well, they are finding that with menopause you are not longer able to mask it anymore.

My ADHD first became apparent around menopause years, but ultimately I was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and obsessionality. The same psychiatrist only identified my ADHD 19 years later.
