Hey Guys! Today's video is on my July Budget Closeout. Leave your budget closeout questions in the comments, I'm going live next week to answer them. :)

In this era of everything digital, I am just loving the way how you plan everything on paper. 🥂 Love, all the way from India.

I know that I’m not good at closing out my budgets I’ve been on my journey since 2021 I love the idea of color coding but also keeping track of the spending on each page of your expense tracker that definitely makes it less overwhelming and holds you accountable

This is helpful. It's a step that I skip often (comparing how I perform on my budget).

HI! I really enjoyed this. It made me get the month of August spending tracked. How can I get the worksheet you used? Didn’t see them in your Etsy shop

Thank you for sharing this. After our talk in class I realized I need to do this tracker/snapshot of what I spent for the month. It helps round things out. Because before this month I don’t know what I spent or if I went over or had something left.

Came across your channel because of a video about notebooks and saw this and thought to check it out since I noticed in another video you’re a Bible believer. I didn’t know what to expect but when it came time for actual figures and you shared very openly I couldn’t help but be shocked. I know it’s not right to judge, and each person is countable to God for how they spend His money. I just couldn’t imagine having so much to spend on hair, food and shopping. I do hope that your budgets are led of The Lord and not leaning on your own understanding. And if so then all glory to Him!

Bless God that you are looking at this video as educational and not judging. ☺️ since our bills are less than 50% of our income, we are able to set 30% to variable spending (for our family expenses and to help our extended family) and 20% to saving, tithing, and giving. These are percentages recommended by most financial educators and it has worked well and been a blessing to our family. ☺️

Truly appreciate your graceful reply, thank you. Tithing, completely forget that people tithe as it’s a biblical tipis used as a “trainer” in teaching us eventually that it all belongs to Him in the Mew Covenant and not just the ten or 20 percent of the old covenant. Studying the Covenants gets deep and once we recognize the covenants of Melchizedek, the priestly, we realize we own nothing and are truly happy and blessed, (not this counterfeit own nothing the enemy is perpetrating into the world right now). Huge topic. So I understand you better now, our monies are a reflection of which covenant we’re walking in. I digress, are you referring to Dave Ramsey by chance?

#Q whats your process from calculating your food expenses from your grocery trip with other misc toiletries items? Do you go through your receipts and itemize everything?

Alaina, did you do the live video answering questions about this idea; you mentioned that toward the end of this video but I’m not finding it.

Hello, I have been confused about closing out my budget as there are some complicated budget people out there. When you use money from your savings do you count that as inflow then track the expense or do you track what you spend out of your savings separately? When you set money aside for a specific purpose do you see that money as already spent but yet track everything in and out of it separate from your checking account?...This the area I most struggle with...Thank You

Which planner are you using?
