I still struggle through the close out process - something new to me. I've always reconciled my bank statements, but it is not the same (I've recently learned - haha). I'm doing well with budget vs. actuals and tweaking the budget along the way, my accounts reconcile, but my budget worksheets don't reconcile the way I would like/expect them to. I enjoy the review process noting what worked, what didn't, what to focus on in the next month. So I'm still working on that close out muscle. 💪 Thanks for educating by sharing your process.

I know about the over spending sometimes...but stuff happens. Having a budget that has some extra saved for this is so important. So all the budgeting definitely pays off.

Great video, I understand the close out, but went to do my projections budget for September and I was way short on coverage for all the categories so I’m not sure what’s wrong with it because that has never happen before? I love how you explained everything ❤

@@lymanjoy yes, my husband is tip base and a base wage, so income is variable but I took the average of last 3 months and rounded down because 2 of the month were magic month. He gets paid weekly. I hope this makes sense.

Yes, that makes sense. It sounds like on the months where you have a little more, pay a bill or two ahead, so on the months with a little less, you're always ahead.
