Organizing Attics

In this video we look at the unique challenges of organizing attics. We look at what Items make sense to store there and why it can't just hold items that don't fit anywhere else. We cover why you need to establish a processing zone and why dedicated zones are necessary to keep the clutter from coming back. Finally, we look at the limitations of height and floor structure.

I think there’s also a weight consideration in most attics since they’re only meant to hold up the ceiling under them. My attic has low crossbeams, so I like the idea of a rideable tracked cart for easy access.

Great point! All the more reason to limit your storage up there. I have found the rideable cart a great solution, particularly for the lower roofed attics. Thank you for your contribution!
