Great ideas, thanks for sharing. I recently saw a spice cabinet with the tiered shelves, they added the labels to the top part of the jars so they could still read them. The tea sure looked cute in those jars!

Lazy Susans in a pantry are a game changer for me! They do waste a lot of space though (in the sense that you can’t use that many mason jars on each turntable). However, it makes it so much easier for me to find what I’m looking for!! It just depends on how much space you have and if you’re willing to lose some space for visibility

I feel like I’m always organizing my house. Even though I declutter often, my house is very old and small and is probably the most poorly designed use of space EVER (built in 1880 so life was very different). I’m always having to get creative with storage solutions (shelving units and baskets galore as I have no closets). However, we just renovated our kitchen and I’m so excited to finally (8 yrs in the making) have a clean modern kitchen with adequate storage and counter space!!! Currently researching ideas for how to store everything but so excited to finally have all my kitchen and food items actually in my kitchen instead of scattered throughout the downstairs 🙃

This is great. I need to organize my food pantry, my linen closet, my hall/utility closet, and under my kitchen sink!! We moved into this house over 6 months ago, I put what needed to go into each place but there is not much organization at all so it’s messy in each area!! Your video is super inspiring as always 😍😍 can’t wait to do some of the spots in my house.

Over the last 60-90 days, under my kitchen sink, the kitchen pantry, kitchen cabinets and drawers, the room temp produce, the double master sink, downstairs/guest under sink, the understairs closet, the laundry room... Next projects... guest bedroom and closet, nursery closet and drawers, the top 2 drawers of my dresser, my hubby has 2 sock drawers; long and short, the master nightstands, the front entryway, and the garage...

An area that I keep putting off to organize is one whole room! It’s an extra room in our house and it is technically my office/craft room but it has become the clutter room, where all the things go that don’t have a place and I’ll figure it out later. “Later” never comes and I really need to de clutter that space to make me inspired to craft again in a nice area! Not sure how to go about organizing but definitely need to declutter A LOT.

First, I wanted to say that it was refreshing to see you enjoy a label maker that is not so fancy like one of those other popular ones that I'm not so keen on. Mine is also from Target, around 18-20$, a DYMO Letratag and I love it so much that I bought one for my mom! It also makes decent size small labels like yours does! Secondly, I am a tea fanatic but have not made the switch from tea bags to loose tea bc it intimidates me. Is it much more expensive and is it hard to brew that way as opposed to bags? I LOVE the look of simplicity w/the jars and you did such a pretty job. Right now, I still have my tea in the boxes that it comes in but a tea box is a definite temptation for me, and possibly those lazy susan's that you used, as well! I also have the issue of the cutlery organizer shifting around and it drives my husband mad, haha He doesn't mind if things don't look "pretty" and organized like we do..(but I make it that way anyway bc it makes me feel joyful) but it is those little things that bother him like shifting cutlery bins ;) TY for the idea with that sticky stuff!

There is always something to declutter! I've been decluttering my home for almost 3 years, and after a time you just need to maintain
@CitrouilleCitron2 жыл бұрын
@@jennaalce4016 it'sdepends of the initial situation. For example, I haven't bought clothes for 5 years. Same for fourniture, more for decoration. I don't have a mess to decluter thank's to my minimalist and ecofriendly consumption. If you buy only what you really need, you don't need to decluter every day...

@lauramathews31512 жыл бұрын
Also having less can mean things like clothes and goods wear out or sustain catastrophic (damage eliminatesfunction completely), due to frequent circulation, and if it breaks you may not have a spare, so it may need to be replaced. New products are sometimes trial and error, and not every solution suits a home, space, or personality.

I liked this video, but it seems a bit wasteful to buy a whole bunch of jars etc just so it can be aesthetic, rather than making do with what is already there and functional. Minimalism should be sustainable too ☀️

Glass is infinitely recyclable and multifunctional so it can be reused and repurposed🤔😉😏
@carolyn8692 жыл бұрын
@@lauramathews3151 glass is infinitely recyclable but it often isn't. Even if you put it in your recycling bin it can often be used as landfill cover instead of actually being recycled into new glass to be used by consumers. Glass is also extremely fragile as we all know so if the glass gets broken in your recycling bin or during transport then it is no longer recyclable. It is MUCH MUCH better to use and reuse things we already have rather than buy new. We are also running out of the sand required to make glass ... not to mention the emissions and other waste involved in producing any new product. I was thinking the exact same thing @borntobemagical
@marylynsheldon83892 жыл бұрын
I think the point Ashlynne was trying to get across was that she is trying to challenge herself to drink the tea & not be wasteful, to do this she’s found a storage solution that works for her where she can see her resources at a clear glance, no doubt if the jars don’t work out for tea they could be up cycled into spice jars or something. As for the glass jars an investment I think which will last for a long time, she obviously wanted to get the project done all in one go, yes maybe abit of an expense but no different to someone else buying something they want to use and enjoy in there home, I think the storage solutions are great! they will last a long time each to there own, nobody has to be perfect we’re all just practicing no such thing as a perfect minimalist we’re all human! trial & error do what works best for you guys let’s not be too critical and just try supporting this community such a great channel I’ve learned loads from these videos and made mistakes. x

Wait - you still can't see the labels on the back two levels of your tea shelves. Why do you say it's easier to see them? And on the pantry jars, you label them but then the labels don't face outward - curious about that.
