I have a white top that went blue like this one, but my top had a black rim around the collar but that didn’t change colour. If i use your method, will the black fade out?
@Organizing-TV Жыл бұрын
It will start to fade if you do this. What you can do is leave the black part dry and out of the water when you're soaking it. That should help preserve it :)

Does this have to be warm water? I know you said it depends on what the clothes can handle. All my clothes say wash with cold water. Obviously I messed up and initially the warm water is what caused the colors to bleed from white to blue or yellow… I’m afraid that if I put hot water, it’ll spread the colors out some more? Or is that the point to remove it? Also, this was initially dried after the stains occurred /: that’s when I noticed
@Organizing-TV4 ай бұрын
Great question! You don't need to use hot water, but the oxygen bleach is more effective with hot water so you may need to leave the garment in there longer or repeat the process if you're not seeing the results you want. As a side note, even when you do use hot water it will cool down eventually, so most of the time the garment will lay in cold water anyway.

Your video is helpful. Tha k you. I have a question. I've got blue patches on my white shorts due to washing them with blue pants. I already dried them before noticing what happened. Do you think this will still work?
@Organizing-TV Жыл бұрын
I'm glad to hear that :) It should still work. It is easier to get it off if they haven't dried yet, but you can still do it. Feel free to repeat the process if you're not entirely happy with the results the first time

This happened to my Argentina jersey, will it mess it up on the blue part of the jersey by making it brighter?
@Organizing-TV5 ай бұрын
Yes, sadly it will affect the whole shirt. But what you could do is spot treat the white stripes and try to avoid getting bleach onto the blue parts. It is a little more effort but if it is a shirt you really want to repair then it is worth it :)

Thanks for the video...could i please clarify, so it is 2 different methods to fix a white turned blue garment...as in hot wash (had to be 90 degrees or is 60 degrees enough?) with vinegar OR warm soak with oxygen based or chlorine bleach yes?
@Organizing-TVАй бұрын
Oxygen based bleach only 👍🏻 soak it for 6+ hrs then decide if you’re happy with the results, or let it soak longer. Wash it normally after. I like to use vinegar when washing after as it helps a little but it’s not essential to the process. Don’t mix vinegar with bleach though!

ME TOO this is why i am here right now
@shaelynk46555 ай бұрын
what did you end up doing?
@ErikaSantos-pb1wj5 ай бұрын
Hi! I did this method, and it worked! I first dissolved the oxyclean powder in warm water (not boiling), then left the sweater for 8 hours each. I did this 4 times, i think. And also made sure that everything is in the water. I put a heavy white ceramic plate on top to make sure everything is submerged in the water. I also turned the sweater inside out every other dip. When I no longer see those blue stains, i hand washed it then let it dry in the sun. TADA, GOOD AS NEW. please note that I HAVE NEVER PUT THE SWEATER IN THE DRYER because i know it sets the stain once it ends up in the dryer. Hope you can also save your merch 🥺💕

@@jiacao2775 Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that. Oxygen-based bleach will help turn them white again. Just do the soaks until you're happy with the color :) If you can't get a hold of oxygen-based bleach like for example Oxiclean or Vanish, a good alternative is hydrogen peroxide.
