In my suggestion... Having a 30 inch counter space is very useful as it cn increase a lot of space and if there is no provision of Living shape or extra platform. This 30 inch platform is very useful and works like a double platform

Use 5kg bucket boxes to access rice easily and keep at a place when it need not be lifted here and there. Also good grade plastic wont leach in rice, why make the job so heavy. :)
