I attended both of those recitals - it’s a thrilling instrument to hear in a stunning room! According to Juget-Sinclair’s website, they had to do some very creative engineering to cantilever the organ over the gallery since the original instrument was in side chambers.

Hi Brent and Jordan. A wonderful and very diverse organ, another masterwork by Juget-Sinclair. I believe this is the third or fourth Juget-Sinclair organ you have explored. All are superb and well-crafted organs, beautiful and rich tones. Also masterful in having distinct tones for similar stops, like the trumpets. Wow to have a full reed chorus and Cornet on each manual of this organ. Thank you.

What a beautiful organ. The Bombarde 32' was quite pleasing in my mind as it sounded like it had a good dose of fundamental tone. Does using wood instead of metal produce greater fundamental but less overtones?

Thanks! Wooden resonators may have a subtle impact on the warmth of the sound, but the Bombarde of the Pédale is rounder mainly due to the plated shallots. I guess you could say it's more of a Bombarde/Trombone hybrid. (a Trombarde?)

It is interesting that a former organist of Christ-the-King was the Belgian-born Noël Goemanne, who had been imprisoned for a month by the Nazis during their occupation of Belgium for defying the law by publicly playing the music of Felix Mendelssohn, who was, of course, Jewish.

@@DrpanProductions The organ sounds mono for me, as well (using earbuds), so I was looking for a comment like what the OP posted. All the other videos I've seen on this channel sound stereo.

I know it's a French organ, and some French baroque repertoire is nice. But I think every organist who watched this must be thinking, "OK, so when are you going to cut loose? Some Mulet, some Widor, Reger, or Durufle? How about a bug hymn?" But no, just mostly using only about 30% of the organ at a time, and not much more. Frustrating and disappointing.

I've noticed this about most of the demo videos on this channel. Rarely do we get full organ for more than a few seconds, if at all, or even divisional tutti demos.
