Hello Everyone , In this video you will find the description of organs of speech and speech mechanism in detail and in hindi so that everybody may understand. Organs of speech are the body parts which helps us making in speech sounds. for the production of speech sounds, we need an air stream , it is called pulmonic eggressive air stream.This air when comes out of the lungs outside , our organs of speech convert it into speech sounds. our organs of speech can be divided into three categories .
1. The respiratory system : it consists of pair of lungs.muscles of chest and trachea or wind pipe.
2. The phonetory system: It comprises of larynx and the vocal cords. LARYNX is the area at the top of the throat that contains the vocal cords. it is also called ADAM'S APPLE.Vocal cords are lying horizontally fro front to back. When we produce some sounds the vocal cords are drawn wide apart and air passes freely without any vibration . These produced sounds are called Voiceless Sounds. There are 9 voiceless sounds in english i.e P,Ch, S,T.Ph,Sh,K.H,Th. But if the vocal cords are neither wide open nor tightly closed together , they are said to be held loosely together . when the sound is produced , the vocal cords starts viberating. These sounds are known as Voiced sounds . All 20 vowel sounds and consonets are voiced sounds.
3. The articulatory system : It cosists of four parts : 1. The Pharynx 2. The roof of the mouth 3. Tongue 4. Lips
