I think version 2 is more formal, the small seconds version may be more casual but both versions are beautiful

I've got a gen4 blue dial great watch for a little over 100 bucks when I got it from amazon their perfect for the guy like myself that doesnt dress up that much but every once and a while needs a dress watch .

maybe on the black dial they should put brushed indexes and hands to avoid them disappear, i love the black dials but when on certain light it s bad.

Am I crazy or is the date too low / hard to read. Like it's cut off a bit? That new decorated rotor is sweet! White is the definite winner between these two. Looking forward to more colors! SLT index for this video is only: Three! That's an SLT/min of less than .5! I'm not having an influence on your vernacular am I, OFD?!

Well, yes. You are definitely crazy....JK!!😂😂 I didn't notice the date window issues. Could be that heavily curved mineral crystal and my camera angle. As for my vernacular, I've always tried to be a cunning linguist, and do dabble in semantic gymnastics 😉👍

I love that Bambino small second, but none of the of Bss is available in Australia. We can't even order those watches from oversea because sellers are not allowed to post the these watches to Australia. Pity.

It's not unrealistic or anachronistic to want this watch in a 36-38mm size. It just works better that way, fitting the wrist better, getting under a shirt cuff, and just being light and very wearable---much to be said for a watch this size. The SS is a beaut. I'd go white. Love the arabic numerals.

Now that's a watch m8 (in fact,2...or 3 to be exact!). Classy, simple, nice. This is the watch to gift to ANYONE you love (including yourself, if everything is still alright.. i hope HAHAHA). But there are so many lovely dials in the Bambino series (oh you little baby, you!) you're never sure you'll get the "right" one! As for the small seconds dial, i think it's "light" enough to forget it in a way /good and bad at the same time... Btw, is it 100% sure there is a curve on the dial and not a eye-trick cause of the dommed crystal? I think even the minute marks are leading there , the way they are designed. Nice they got'em thinner on this version, looks much better. As for these two dials, i ain't sure, i like black but white is so fockin classic and elegant ! Heads or tails??????? Pity i always jump in the pool at the parties... can't wear them LOL!!!!

It's really hard to choose a Bambino from all the models they offer. Sooo many classic dials!! The dials are definitely curved. It's been a hallmark of these for years, and very much appreciated by the masses 😊👍 Check out the Curator from Orient. It's rated to 50m, and very classy (sapphire to boot)! You could jump in the pool with that one!!

I really like the Bambino line and would have one in a second save for one fundamental issue -- I have absolutely no need for a dress watch. In fact, how many people really need one in today's casual dress environment? Save politicians, lawyers, undertakers, and financial industry employees, I think the answer is: very few. Still, these are great, affordable watches and definitely worthy of their excellent reputation.

I don't view this bambino as a dress watch....watches of similar designs went up mount Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary and Omega made similar watches for the MOD in 1948. The MOD nor Hillary required dress watches. Stick it on a NATO and you've got a casual style watch. Check out the Smiths delux Everest and the new omega limited edition 1948s....taging watches with titles or categories is limiting, be yourself and wear what you like stuff everyone else.✊

I guess it really depends where you live,in many places there are plenty of people that like to look nice.And honestly these Bambinos are not at all watches that only work with let's say a suit,I would say they work with plenty of outfits.

Hi Aron, Great video on these watches. On a totally different topic, the Phoibos wavemaster has really altered my thoughts on watch collecting. In my opinion , this watch offers such fantastic value , sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, seiko movement , great bracelet that at present I am finding it difficult to justify looking at purchasing any watches at a much higher price bracket. I,m not talking about the higher luxury brand watches , I have a Grand Seiko myself which is in a different class but the watches costing around several hundred pounds. Just interested on your thoughts regarding this topic Cheers

DJ, I think you're right about what is being offered out there these days. Phoibos is a great example. Most of these companies are also using movements that are easily serviced by any competent watch maker NH-35/36, Myota 9015 etc. (Although more difficult than Seiko). Plus, most everyone is offering Sapphire and AR coating while many large mfg are still giving hardlex or mineral at the same price point. Great comments, Thanks for watching 😎👍
