One of the most powerful expressions of Orient Express. Wonder about the recording does NOT reflecting these immense power and drive. Sounds the band little bit fragmented and playing with tensed effort. In real it was easy driving you crazy straight to heaven - being there in 2007. Love your music - thanks! - Joe and Syndicate!

As good as a studio can be it is not the same as a live situation in which truth reveals itself. And it is amazing to see that this is true, it did happen. Even more now in these strange times, it is amazing to see such a forward groovy and modern band with musicians from all over the world playing so together.

@@irrikirame I'm totally with you. Should not have been a critical comment. Just compairing different situations ... say better, my own impressions of different situations. I'm not talking about the quality of the sound, but the quality of the band playing more and less tight together. Here, as I wrote, looks like there is a lot of effort in doing this song. In real it seemed completely effortless with a hell of speed. Been a musician itself for a long time. (Sorry, my english is not as well. Hope, I could express it right). Greatful thanks to share this clip, Henrique!

Zawinul is over 70 years old in this performance. The tempo is 250 bpm. Wanna tell me who else could handle that age to tempo ratio? (I think he's smiling because of the amazing clarity Alune Wade plays the bass line with, it sounds tighter and more propulsive than the other great bass players from Zawinul's band during this era).

@@jazzfusioner9840 You're lucky guy , I saw them only once in 1996, it was another band, Jimmy Garrison's son on bass, Arto an amazing percussionist / singer from Armenia but it was also all about "fire burning" on stage and flames towards the audience. I didn't even realize that in this last Syndicate there were two brazilians in the band, then I recognized the Rio townhall shirt Jorge Bezerra is wearing. Glad to know that synching this performance's audio helped spreading it around.
