The carriages of the Venice Simplon Orient Express are magnificent, beautifully captured but an inaccessible dream for mere mortals. given the price of the crossing to Istanbul. The VSOE Venice Simplon Orient Express of the Belmond Hotel Group Ltd owned by the LVMH group since 2018. has for Europe 18 Continental carriages formerly CIWL (Compagnie Internationale des Wagons Lits) types S and Z from the 1920s and 1930s modified with the comfort of current standards in the Netherlands. The LX Bleu Lit carriages restored in Belgium in the CIWL workshops, with eccentricities such as the Pullman WSP lounge carriages from 1922 which never existed in the original composition of the Orient Express. The bogies have been replaced to reach a speed of 160 km/h. In terms of price, it is time for superlatives. You have to count per person for 2 days 1 night on board the Venice Simplon Orient Express in Historic Cabin from 4,000 euros.
