This orientation lecture answers all the questions regarding opting Applied Mathematics and Statistics as optional subjects in CSS and PMS exams. There are a lot of myths regarding opting these subjects owing to less awareness about these subjects in CSS fraternity. In fact, most of the mentors who are teaching in the academies across the country have educational background in social sciences, so they cannot guide and teach these subjects; in result, they discourage students to opt these subjects despite the fact these subjects make aspirants having educational background in engineering, mathematics and statistics privileged ones. A good student can score above 170 in these subjects, and even in worst scenario, a hardworking student is able to grasp140 marks that is not possible in Political Science and International Relations.
