Probably just heard basic effects on her voice if it's anything, but she definitely sounds like she has incredible control of her voice. When she can make it sound more artificial with just her voice, that's incredible skill 🔥🔥

there's no machine that could tune this voice, yet
@Piggy_Piggerson3 жыл бұрын
It's an interesting natural timbre to her voice, I think the only other singer I've seen that also has it (other than auto-tuned singers lol) is Aida Nikolaychuk , who won Ukraine's X Factor in 2012

Origa’s song became one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life as in “Inner Universe” has stayed with me over 10 years. And, I love it because of its deep lyrics and the musical execution by Yoko Kanno. I mean, wow, how can anyone say anything about Origa? She did the openings of one of the best anime series of all time.

Oh my God, woman got pipes!! Massive respect, I did not expect her to sound this amazing live.. Mostly due to what pop-stars sound like outside of the studio [Y'all know who] who either lip-sync or sound just horrible..But then again she is an opera singer.. Seriously in awe, its like she got mutant lungs or something... I'd be willing to bet if she was still around that she could sing circles around Christina...

Wow, what an amazing voice - even without a bunch of studio tech behind her. Sad to hear she passed away - Inner Universe is one of my all time favourite tunes, brilliant composition by Yoko Kanno and this voice to drive it. Damn!
@levonpoe9 жыл бұрын
This song was my introduction to Origa and of course, GITS SAC. Im gonna keep it real AND respectful: I thought she did well overall. "Inner Universe" gave me the impression that, because of the complexity of the notes she had to sing, it is likely she DID NOT sing the song in one session in the studio. Plus lets keep it real, Yoko Kanno (writer, musician, producer) is a Wizard in the studio.I have no doubt, based on the technical complexity of the studio original, many a knob and sliders was handled on the sound console. On "Rise" I think she performed a little better because of the less demanding vocal needs. Also this is karaoke. Sound quality is not going to be great. I have to give Origa my greatest respect for the job she did in the original compositions and what she did here in less than ideal conditions. There is a Live version of the song " Moon" she performs with Yoko Kanno conducting the orchestra. It is MUST SEE!
@mariamiktus6719 жыл бұрын
She sang this music about 10 or so years ago, so her vocal range is not as high as it once was. I'd also like to point out that the notes she pauses on in the beginning were sung by Ben Del Maestro at the time of it's composition; a boy soprano who was also featured on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Her vocal range was not quite as high as his at the time of composition, either. The couple of things you pointed out seem to be easily explained, but no artist is as good as the knobs and sliders can change them to be. Btw, she is not singing karaoke, she's singing a capella; there is no background music. An amazing and lovely artist who will be so sorely missed.

Studio version and live performance 10 years after are two big differences. Also now we know that she already had lung cancer when she sang it.

Levon Peter Muhammad Salah Setyowan Poe I agree (almost) entirely. I think that this performance is more genuine and brings out the emotion of the songs. I agree Origa may have been hesitant or nervous when she sang "Inner Universe", but I also feel, as it seems you felt, that she came alive with Rise. That being said, I do not know Russian, nor have I seen her sing live in person; so I can't speak to that aspect.
