Any tips for steps @9:30? Tried slowing it down just can't wrap my brain around it
@jonakashima8 ай бұрын
when you open the top layer, you'll find an existing line on the white part (dashed line shown at 9:20). Just focus first on this line and valley fold it while opening the top layer, don't worry about the bottom part not being flat. Then flatten the top part (like I did at 9:28 with my left thumb). To finish this step, the corner will be folded to the right using existing lines

I'm glad someone asked this. I just ended up cramming everything underneath. Not pretty but I'm hoping it won't show in the end 😂 Ok. It mattered... My origami paper is also not thin enough, I think. Do I need fancy tissue foil to make this work?
@jhpark20077 ай бұрын
Try doing the other side first that worked for me

@@sunflowerbadger i was able to make it with regular origami paper so it should be alright, tissue foil would probably look better tho

This is the third type of dragon I've been able to tame and summon, thanks to you. I can't express how satisfying your designs are; from the seemingly automatically-aligning sink folds to the sturdy, self-supporting construction of limbs, and the subtle details a simple curve in the paper can add that brings an extra element of *life* to the models. Your art and geometry are honed in so well, thank you for sharing it with us!
