9:20 - *About the cotton ball* I've added extra weight inside to prevent from opening gaps between the cubes when you're not holding the model. *Depending on the type/size of paper they're not needed.* I folded one with 18cm x 18cm origami paper and it was ok without extra weight. If you don't have cotton balls available, you can use crumpled paper as an alternative. (Btw, there is a tutorial here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXvPnIepm86sn8U)

This method is way better folding an infinity cube than what I used. Here the steps are harder, but I don't need like 70 papers to foldeach piece and then assembly all of them. Gonna try this out.

Hi Jo Nakashima, I just wanted to say that I'm a huge fan of yours. I've had a passion for origami ever since I was a young child, but it wasn't until I watched your dragon tutorial that I really started to get into more challenging models that would impress my family and friends. Your videos have inspired me to develop my origami skills into something that brings happiness to my loved ones. I think it's beautiful that you can make so many different things out of a sheet of paper, let alone design them as skillfully as you do. I made 4 infinity cubes and brought one to school to show my friends, and they all thought that it was super cool. Thank you for making so many people happy with the models you teach 💞💞💞💖💖

Yup to insert flap it is so stessfulll work but its all worth it🤗
@manidhingra51928 ай бұрын
I found the trick to make it work. you have to bend the inner side, but keep the outer one straight, use the tip of your fingernail to run across the bend of the inner side of the flap to round it more, so it doesn't stick straight and bend into place. you spend a good 30 seconds of bending to ensure the inner part of the flap is soft, then you insert both the bottom flaps into the cube module and take out the one according to the two different types of modules. this gives the flap practice inside the pocket, opens the pocket, and you can easily remove the correct one according to the module type at the end, so you can make all 8 the same with that trick. finally, while inserting make sure you open the flap and put a finger, toothpick, or end of a credit card in between the inner and outer parts of the flap, and insert the inner one first, the outer one second, then make sure the part where the inner and outer flaps converge to a tip, goes inside at the start so it doesn't cause internal problems with the flap sticking in. then, make sure you've done all those tips well, since after failing a first time, inserting the flap a second time will never be as clean, some damage has been done. finally, use a not too thin paper and yet keep it relatively thin. kite paper is 20-30gsm, origami paper is 40-70gsm, notebook paper is about 60, printer paper is about 90, and chart paper is about 120, keep it near 55. I learnt this after trying twice. the third attempt was super clean, nearly perfect, and took about 4 hours.

THANK YOU! You're so awesome. I finally put the modules together after failing multiple times and spending x6 hours in the span of two days. It's feels satisfying and it's so fun to play with the finish product.

Cool! Thanks! I can't upload the picture, but it's done. I like it, it's not that difficult. You can hold the base of the paper when folding into the pocket by pinching on the corner with a needle or a sewing pin. It doesn't hurt the paper much, and makes folding into the pocket easier and faster.

I happened to only find videos with glueing but I think that’s not origami anymore.. I discovered your channel today and was thinking maybe you’ve already done an icosahedron and yes, you did, but unfortunately only the triambic and other versions. If you find time to make a (rather small/short?) video on how to fold an icosahedron without any help that would be very, very nice. 🤗

The model is so fun!!! I could do it myself, though it doesn't look very neat and precise as a cube. What I find particularly difficult with the cubes is inserting the tiny triangle curved flaps :-/ I think I must keep on practising... I really enjoyed folding it and adding cotton (never occured to me such a tip!). Thanks for the tutorial :)

I made this but with white A4 sheet paper....... I made it n was looking colorless so I pasted colour paper on top on every side but the paper was coming out again n again so then I pasted so many pieces of transparent tape then my endless box was ready n it was successful but due to using many pieces of tapes it was looking okay - okay but still it was nice n I appreciate this channel for giving information in very much detail so that it's easy for everyone 😊👍👌.........
