Origami Jumping Paper Cat in Box | DIY Fidget toy

Let's make cute origami - a paper cat jumping out of a box! Click on the cat and he will hide in the box, remove your finger and he will jump out of it merrily! This cat is so cool that you want to click on it all the time! Surprise your friends and family with this cute paper craft and they will surely want the same cat in their box!
We need:
- sheet of paper 21x21 cm / 8x8 inches for the box
- a sheet of paper 16x16 cm / 6x6 inches for the spring
- a sheet of paper 13x13 cm / 4.8x4.8 inches for a cat
- scissors, glue and markers

Если твой котик плохо выпрыгивает из коробочки, поправь все уголки и стороны коробочки, они должны быть полностью раскрыты. Или попробуй сделать котика из листа 12,5х12,5 см 😉 If your cat does not jump out of the box, straighten all the inner corners of the box well, they should be fully open. Or try to make a cat out of a sheet of paper 12.5x12.5 cm 🐱

i tried this and i quite like how it turned out even though mine's a bit simpler!! to me the spring only worked a very few times, and if it still didn't work i just hide it at the bottom of the box so it's still kind of springy edited: NEVERMIND the spring works im just too stupid

Mine came out great. I made the cat paper 12.5 x 12.5 because I read the comments before hand. Seemed the cat was a tight fit... Not out of purrrportion 😉 and no issues with function. My little girl is sick right now so I'll give it to her to cheer her up. Thanks for the tutorial! It was super fun and not too tough.

The design was VERY CUTE! But when I try to make it, the proportion was kinda off. Can you maybe make a pdf of the paper proportions so when people prints it out it's all in the right sizes.
