Easy Origami Rose / Simple Paper Flower

Here is a simple way to make a great looking origami rose out of paper...

Quick notes for anybody that uses paper that's only colored on one side : -start with the color facing you when folding horizontally, so the smaller folded Triangle you get later on will be colored. - at 2:30 when it comes to folding the little edges out to the side, take an extra step and fold them the other way around so you tuck them inside the pocket. That way the large petals will be completely colored, otherwise half of each petal would be white. Beautiful Tutorial, and surprisingly easy and fast to fold with some prior Origami experience. Just a tip for anyone from what I learned, at the end when you form it together lay the bottom part on a flat surface then start twisting the top and pick it up so it will form in you're hand correctly. The twisting part I kept messing up till the 3rd try and I finally figured it out!

It's been so long since I've done origami (used to have art classes on it back in Highschool) and I struggled for awhile to make a rose (due to my own learning capability and inability). The video is great, steps can be followed down to the twist at the end. I'm a slow person, so I had to slow the video down to make sure I was doing it right and now that I'm able to make them, it gets easier and easier! A tip for anyone who has similar problems or going through problems with the video: If you feel like you have to take a break, go for it. Come back to it after you've done something that you enjoy doing. Take your time with it while you make your origami rose. Make sure to keep uplifting yourself at each step and stay positive. It'll feel satisfying to no end once you make your first one, and it gets easier from there if you keep making them. I believe in you!

Deathwish699 the rotation of the middle part is just twisted around, I think everyone can figure it out. sometimes it takes a little practice to make it perfect. if I show it directly towards camara, then the only thing you will see is my hand. and by the way, I'm not a man. 😊

See other comment reccomending that when you get to curling it, lay it on a flat surface before picking it up in your hand, so that it can form there properly. Make sure to twist the top bit a little once it takes shape to give it the intricacy. Great stuff, thanks for the video.

when you do the bit at 4:25 you can use the spare bit of paper and fashion it into a stem then stick it in the free space and then do the fold. it works great

Primera vez que una flor me sale a la primera tal vez no sea la primera que hago pero me salio a la primera 10/10 aparte este video llega a todo el mundo por que no explica con palabras pero es tan facil que ni las necesita gracias por ayudarme, siempre cada año le doy un regalo material pero tambien le hago un origami de papel para que sepa que aunque el regalo material lo compro la flor la hago, que sepa que ella no solo vale en pesos si no tambien vale en cariño feliz dia de las madres a todos
