I would like to make a suggestion for an improvement to your reviews. add in a segment for ship acceleration rates. basically it boils down to , sure the vanguard sentinel and harbinger both have similar top end speed. but the sent has nearly double the acceleration, this will give it a large positional advantage in combat.

I built a stealth 125a (or 125s as I like to call it) for the purpose of avoiding fighting via sneaking around. Not only for transporting myself but for transporting other people as well. I love that this can be summoned from small vehicle pads as well.

The 100 series fits into the Carrack's top hanger bay. I would really only recommend this ship to someone who has a Carrack, or has a friend that has one, as the synergy can be pretty fun, and 6SCU of cargo for this purpose is pretty nice.

Pretty sure only the 100i will keep the 700quantum fuel units. The rear section is for extra fuel that the 125 uses for missiles and 135 uses for cargo. I may be wrong but I thought that was the 100s use for that space. Otherwise it is just arbitrarily empty. Will see if they adjust the other two ships when they fix the beds.

The price is a tad high but when looking less at utility and more at comfort, I love it, it's a pisces with a bed and 2xS3. I've found the 125a to be excellent at ROC piracy

"a tad"??? It is double the cost of an Aurora MR and has almost zero advantage over the MR besides looks. The 125 is more expensive than the VASTLY superior Titan. The 135 is even more expensive and even worse than the 125 in comparison to the Titan. Then the 300 is another origin ship which is cheaper than the 125 and 135 and again vastly superior. So the 100 series are great looking ships and wonderful if you completely ignore how insanely greedy CIG was with the pricing.

​@@Power5 Almost zero? - AIR System (And +20,000 hydrogen fuel on top of that) - EXCELLENT view angles - Size 3 hardpoints is a no-brainer breakpoint - Two S2 missiles instead of only one; 125A triples this advantage. - Tacks on more than 50% additional SCM speed - Edge in pitch/s, damn near doubles the roll rate - Larger QT fuel tank It's expensive USD and UEC wise but other than that it's an upgrade in literally every way save for minor armour and hull HP stats, and at these low values these are utterly ignorable. It's incomparable to the Titan save for the ingress speed (animation vs no animation, rear entry requires the ramp to come down followed by TWO doors) and while it's close costs are very bizarre, it's still no slouch, and much more maneuverable besides. If someone was going to drop about enough for a Titan, but was fine with a bit more mobility in lieu of that S4 mount, and ridiculously long flight endurance coupled with QoL entry/exit and a tiny profile, then any of the 100 series would still be a fine buy, so long as they knew and were fine with the comparisons to the Titan. (Actually, fuck the 100i in particular as it offers literally nothing either of the others does better at the current time.

Just found the use case that makes it great. It’s a Size 1 ship. U can spawn them at a platinum bay on a planet. So could be seen as a planetary life raft and unlike any other size one ship that I am aware of this one even has a quantum drive so it could get you back and a couple of friends to a station in orbit.

Not much to compare. 300 series just has better shields, better hull, better weapons, better internal space amenities and utilities, and a very similar cost. It's only failing is it is sliightly less efficient fuel wise, and you have to climb a ladder. The main selling point to a 100 series is the size, it's a fancy shuttlepod, it fits in a Carrack, it has handy fuel efficiency as an explorer shuttle. And that bed means you can take an extra crewman with you in the Carrack. BUT The Aurora can do most of that too, much cheaper. VTOL for fuel efficiency, extra shielding for safety, less DPS, but gimbled for easy mode shooting. And it fits in the Carrack easier.

Two things: 1) The small cross section isn't just small. The 100 series is one of only 2 ships I've ever flown - the other being the Arrow - with a cross section that's so small that NPC Mustang rockets can almost never hit it. This is a rather big deal because NPC Mustangs make up virtually all CS1 bounties, and they are very easy to run consecutively as a new player, proving a quick means to make your first 20k aUEC or more in the verse. However, as the rockets are explosive (and unlike human pilots, NPC Mustangs are god-tier at landing shots with them) they will partially bypass shields and deal direct hull damage. While I've never been killed by them, they can easily knock parts drop off other ships (like my beloved Hawk.) Thus, this silly little thing is actually quite major for a starter ship, especially with the 125a. 2) The hull HP is very low, however it's actually slightly higher than the Arrow. While the Arrow is smaller and also has more firepower, the 100 series does have more flexibility in what you can do with it, and more range. Still, I think when you consider that the 125a is cheaper than an Arrow and has better hull HP, equal shielding, and both a bed and cargo space, you can make a very solid argument that the 125a is actually an upgrade to the Arrow. At minimum, I would not recommend an Arrow to a new player any more who wants to focus on combat - the 125a will give them more options if they decide they don't want to be a dedicated combat pilot later on. Also, an honorable mention: due to the excellent stealth on these, fixed size 3 scatterguns are actually outstanding weapons for them. Throw a pair of Predators or Dominance-3s on the 125a and it can actually be a rather effective ambush fighter. It'll never be the BEST ambush fighter, but it's nothing to sneeze at. (Alternatively, FL-33's have such a long range you can fire them right at the very edge of your detection range most of the time.)

So when a friend of mine chatted with RSI customer support because of an error they said that everybody will get a 100i loaner instead of the Freelancer that sadly is gone after this patch. So we still might see this sleek little ship a lot in the verse.

300i is such a better ship, you get a weapons locker, clothing locker, toilet, better fire power and it has room for coffee maker/ food maker. I already use the coffee maker in mine, as it's a free way of hydrating and not having to buy bottles from a store.

They just have different use cases I feel. For example you can summon the 100 series from a small vehicle pad on a planet's surface whereas you cannot summon a 300 series. The 100 series is also better for a stealth load-out if you're looking for a stealth runabout, especially if you're looking for one that can take passengers. Go loud and proud with a 300, but creep past everyone with the 100.

@@ShadowGirl- Excluding landing pads on ships like the 890J or Carrack, I don't believe I've ever come across a landing location in the verse where I haven't been able to spawn a 300 series ship, do you happen to know of a location? The stealth capabilities of the ship are good, it's small cross section and low IR rating should also lower the chance for missiles to hit too, provided this mechanic hasn't changed over the years. Considering the high price of these ships, I think it helps justify the price a little and a feature that has been overlooked by many. Subliminal really does a great job at dissecting a ship.

The way I'm going about picking my ships is starting the game with something comparable to what I have IRL. The 100i is like my small sedan. Capable, carry a little bit and efficient. My other ship I upgraded to the Nomad which is like my SUV. And I have two space bikes for my two motorcycles.

The door is great but it doesn't close automatically. If your running around doing delivery missions it is easy to forget to close it and get your ship stolen (unlike the 300 series)

I would say it's main use is as a tiny stealth transport. Imagine sneaking by with criminals aboard. It's also small enough to fit into the giant holes at Klescher, allowing you to save someone if they fall down onto one of the lower rungs given that the ship has a proper doorway/entrance.

For a starter, get an Avenger. If you need a snub or a dog fighter for the larger ships, Pisces and Arrow spring to mind, respectively. Nice review +1

Thanks for the tips! I do think the 100 series can make a better snub than the pisces though. It has more SCU. Very quick and nimble. And more capable in a fight with 2 size 3s and a very small CS 2nd only to the arrow. The atmo flight of the pisces is almost too good but I think its a bug to be honest. The only issue with the 100 is it doesn't easily fit in the carrack. So when ship spawning inside ships is a thing you wont be able to span the 100 in it. However you can manually add it in the same way you put on your shoes, toe in first heel after.

And given the price point difference, the Pisces would still be a viable choice, in my book. Of course, one wouldn't want to take this little thing into a battle. In atmo... well it has wings (tiny ones - I swear, the designer only slapped those onto it so it would look a bit less than a brick). On parking the 100 inside a Carrack: Is it me or did the 100 series grow ever so slightly than what the specs initially suggested?

I’m late to the party on these ships but I got a 125a at the last sale and IMO it’s much better (for me) than the 300i. It flies well, fights respectably, can be spawned from a small pad, carries boxes well, can take a passenger in a pinch, has a bed and is not overly “loud” signature wise.

The prices you listed are for the starter packs, which include the game. The ships themselves, are $50, $60, and $65. Yeah, that's really close to the Titan price, but there are some perks, like you mentioned the smaller profile and fuel efficiency.

There's only 1 reason to get the 100 series as a starter. If you are sure you are going to own a Carrack. And want a different shuttle to the Pisces. Lose only passenger 1 seat (cos the bed functions as a seat too) but get a lot more performance. For me, I'll swap the pisces for the 135c on 1 condition, push/pull mechanics let me load a ranger motorcycle into the rear cargo bay. ^^

Do you ever plan to review the Aurora LN? I know it's easy to dismiss, but in 3.11 a couple of gimbaled Suckerpunches, two Badgers, a Mirage and another high-HP grade A shield makes it pretty fun. The main negative for combat (aside from being, obvs, a small starter with limited offense & defense) is that it can't pitch/yaw quite fast enough for maneuver-jousting.

The issue with the 100i series being a snub is that it's just too big to be one. Most snub ships can't take it, or aren't designed to take it. So, if people would want a snub, the pisces is a much better choice. However, where the 100i shines (well, let's say 135C because it has 0 drawbacks except price) Is the air intakes that means a lot of reduced fuel consumption. So it's gonna be the cheapest to run of all starter ships in the long run.

Just to point out, that the Aurora "Clipper" CL can match the 135c in cargo capacity with 6 SCU. Admittedly, you won't see many CLs in game as most Aurora folk have MRs or LNs. I love the look of the 100 series, they are cute, but strictly, for me at least, an in-game purchase because they are way overpriced. The Auroras are still my top pick for small starter ships. Reliants, 300 series and the Titan I would classify as tier II starters. All of these are way better than the 100 series if you want to spend that sort of money on the game. All in all? Get a Titan, its still the best bang for your buck.!

I'm not sublimal but with the extended QT-Tank of the 100-series (700 QT Fuel) the burst is fastest drive, which can make the PO-Microtech Trip. Witht the 583 QT Fuel most small ships have the Atlas is the fastest drive for the PO-MICROTECH Trip. TLDR: Burst is better. Faster, but still able to make the PO-MICROTECH route

@@SubliminaLstv I think we're probably fussier as we're already established. A new player will likely have preference based on looks and what they want to spend. I'd still recommend the Titan to anyone that asked. I think the 100 Series is a good little surface shuttle, looks nice, , and being able to fit several in the 890 is handy, if only I had one, but only time will tell if us vets would have use for one.

But the 300 can be upgraded to from a mustang starter package for $5 more than the 100i starter package. That makes the 100 series a terrible choice in any way. And the 300i is a much better ship in every possible way.

Yeah, the pricing is a real shame, otherwise, this would be a real nice spot between low tech starters and the proper ship Avenger, but the package pricing ruins that. Otherwise I think this ship is pretty, but I just have no use for it, sadly.

While that's not bad, here's another thought for you. Next month at the end of NOV Is the yearly Anny Event and there ships are going for sale with 10 year insurance. There's always a package going 5-10 bucks off with 10 year insurance during that time usually Warbond (which means "new" money). But in the past some also were 7 (in 2018) to 10 year that were regular price as well which means any packages you currently own that has a lower insurance level could be "Melted" (AKA Exchanged in your hanger and you get what you paid for that package in store credits back.) Then you can rebuy that package with those credits getting the higher insurance level. Either way don't sweat insurance as they stated ships bought with RL Money will never go away should insurance lapse, you'll just have to pay a credit fee to get em out of hock.

Sorry, I dont know what I can do to help you. The instructions are written very clearly, and are not complicated. You just need to react to the welcome message with what roles you would like. Asking members to join roles is a very necessary part of having a professional and well maintained discord. It stops "you", the user, from receiving unnecessary spam about topics that you are not interested in.

I just can’t get over how uncomfortable that bed looks. This ship is sleek, but that doesn’t make it luxury. These ships have the same problem the 300-series has with wasted space in the cockpit (I’ve seen it blamed on the collision model, so... sure). The bed could have been rotated 90 degrees, built in, made more comfortable, allowed storage access below and retained the component access above, and the starboard bulkhead could have fit a small kitchen, scanning station, or even a jumpseat.
