To back up the Luai talk, last year game 2 the whole stadium chanted "Luai's a wanker" as we lost. The mental fortitude he has is insane, to be so widely villainised by both states and to still turn up to Suncorp 1 year later and be that guy, even waving at the camera for the stadium as we are about to win. I love that we can have those players you love to hate, each origin era has had them.

As a Queenslander I’m not even mad that NSW won. It was such a good game and both teams played their hearts out, NSW just felt like their team was more complete (good balance of speed, strength and stamina) Where did QLD go wrong? I feel like the boys were overcompensating for the lack of size and strength on their side that players like Tino, Flegler and Fifita bring to the table with everyone getting involved in tackles and tiring themselves out - for example: when Hamiso got the ball and could’ve made a break he looked absolutely buggered by that point. Ps. Can’t wait for Luai to come to Tigers next year 😂

Hey lads just a message of appreciation for the show, this time of year around origin shows why levels is top of the heap for league pods. Its the perfect blend of analysis from those who’ve been across all levels of the game, the breakdowns that you both provide is unreal for a park footy player like me or I’m sure for an everyday fan whos never played before. That knowledge mixed with the banter and light hearted nature, lack of media agenda and community that the show is built upon is what makes it a pleasure to listen to and support each week, i look forward to every ep, keep up the great work ✌🏻

No big fellas on Queenslands side killed em. No one picking up the metres deep in their own end. They gave it to Cotter at times and he picked up tough metres but not enough times, and he didn’t have enough help. Fifita and Tino gotta play next year. We can talk about “small ball” all we want, at the end of the day the big dogs are gonna pick up tough yards.

What a game. 2 areas that I would love to get your boys thoughts on that made a huge difference was NSW making sure they killed the ball after an error (which actually started the DCE-Luai fracas) to avoid the QLD counter attack, and unreal cover tackles after a break. I feel like in the past that has let NSW down and was so much better on Wednesday that made all the difference.

Always look forward to this when comes out twice a week - times in nicely with my arvo jog after work. The sweet dulcet tones of Mase always fire me up when i'm in the wars a few km's in. I love the idea of Cleary playing 6 next year, next to Moses! I believe Cleary could get away with playing any style of football and causing huge headaches for Qld because you'll never know what he's scheming next. Luai going to the Tigers is going to dampen his chances of retaining the 6 if the Tigers have another difficult year in my opinion. Cleary and Moses will be Cronk and JT reincarnated and give the mighty blues a lot of success after all these years. Love your work boys! L1 from day 1

There likely is no decider if Moses doesn't play the way he did in game 2 and clinched the win in game 3. He absolutely deserved to be top 3. Moses played half his career at 6 with Brooks 7. He has the running game to play 6 and if Cleary is injured you have Moses slot straight in. His kicking game is too good to leave out. Gets us out of so many bad sets. He'll also have built a club combo with Lomax by then. Cleary had yet to own Origin. You can't drop Moses who's done it in every game he's played. Even the game he did his back in he was involved in every point scored.

I'm here to give NSW their flowers as I said I would if they were able to pull off the W in a decider at Suncorp. NSW thoroughly deserved their win. It was an awesome game to witness. The level of intensity, speed, and the duration of that type of football last night was UNBELIEVABLE. All 34 players deserve a huge round of applause with the biggest round of applause going to the Blues for their epic win. Unfortunately for us QLD fans, today was a sombre day but we can't fault our teams effort. It was a just a briliant moment from Luai, Best, and Moses that got the win & that's what Origin is about is moments. Hopefully QLD can win it back next year.

The real captain in the team is Stephen Crichton. If you look at the team dynamic, you look after the game, he is making a new blues song, and he’s leading it and singing it in front of the boys. They made slowbo captain just for media, and to soften the blow cause he’s the most liked person in footy. Isiah yeo is the real captain on the field to talk to the refs as that’s probably not crittas strength yet. But leading the team, I can guarantee you everyone follows critta.

I seriously can’t believe the amount of chat around dropping either of the NSW halves next year, with Moses having a Joey05-esque performance in game 2, and scoring the match winnner in game 3. While luai was probably the best blues player in game 1 in a side who had 12 men for 70 minutes, and was probably also our most consistent all series. If madge is the coach i think he is, those 2 will be our halves next year regardless of what Cleary does at club level

Jurbo is such a plodder. Nearly cost us a try with his slow leg speed before being taken off. I'd start Barnett or Yeo and Bring May in next year if his form keeps up. Can play big minutes and works well in partnership with Spencer.

Hey legends, just want to hear your thoughts on scrapping the Thursday game and adding a extra game on a Sunday 3 games instead or do you think that adding the 18th nrl Team will change the nrl season fixtures in doing so Thursday game is kept and there be an extra Sunday game providing they scrap the weekly bye? Love ya work lads Up the Roosters!!!

Question for next podcast Why don’t players. Try to kick the ball as far as they can, after a penalty awarded. Watching the Panthers VS Dolphins, and it seems that Cleary only kicks it 10m. After being awarded a penalty after a high tackle.

Great breakdown boys. The biggest worry I have as a QLD fan next year is our back 5 vs the Blues back 5. Edwards, To'o, Lomax, Critta & Best all killed us last night with their yardage carries. That was without Latrell & Turbo. The QLD back 5 all tried hard to play the same role but came up well short by comparison. Looking at the list of eligible players - there is a worrying shortage of top quality outside backs that could step up and make a difference. I know Taulagi & Coates were out - but I can't see anyone else that's obvious. Does Mase think Blake Wilson could get to that level next year and put his hand up?

Not having your big forwards available plays a big part in that. Playing off the back foot all game. NSW starting a lot of sets from their 40. QLD pinned the whole game, and weren't getting much quality ball because the forwards were going nowhere. QLD's back five behind that NSW pack would look a lot different.

Hey boys love the show, not to bash Klein but I feel he did the double send off twice when imo the blues didn’t deserve it (Martin game 2 Murray game 3) do you think he’s trying to not “ruin” the game like game 1 by sending one of each team off or did both boys deserve the send offs?

Blues did really well. To be fair, QLD defended well. Seriously should have lost by a lot more. QLD were always a long shot with that pack. You can have the best backline in the world, but they won't do much without solid props.

Can we just focus on the fact that Klein let the game run its course for the most part and let the boys rip in. Could of been a million penalties but he needs to be congratulated for letting the game flow and allowing the boys to put on one of the best games of footy in years

Can we put to bed now the notion that the Pacific boys in origin specifically the Samoan boys in NSW don’t have pride in the Blue jersey like they have in the Samoan jersey. Come international selection time theres always a controversy but the truth is their ties to both heritage and Origin (NSW/QLD) run deep.

Never seen such a fall from grace as Billy's coaching career. Seemed like a genius and future all time great coach last year. Even his selections for game 1 were like "...wut", and he's gone from weak to weaker since. Totally cooked decision making, completely dropped the bag. Worst part is he will get a long grace period and be allowed to keep sucking for years. The blues really dodged a bullet, with the right coaching QLD were set for another 8 year streak of domination.

The blues plan to tire out the big men in qlds middles all night was executed to a T. It made qld go sideways in the 2nd half and it just opened up in the 65th for the 1st try for blues but before that it was an absolute war and reminded me of the good origin days of hard hits back and forth. Well derseved win for the Blues but a game that will go down in history as 1 of the best.
