I love Iron Fist, he is one of my favorite marvel characters. The only thing I dislike about the netflix show, is how they changed his origin. As well as how he isn't with Misty Knight.

Been an Iron Fist fan for over 30 years & binge watched the 1st season of the tv show in 2 days. It started off a bit slow but picked up after the 4th episode. There are a shit-ton of references to most of the other tv shows and movies. It was pretty cool of Claire to give Danny Luke's shirt to change into after he was stabbed. Colleen Wing is a bit too much like Elektra in that they're both trained by The Hand and they're both lovers and sworn enemies of their male counterparts, Danny and Matt Murdock respectively. Speaking of similarities, there's also a little too much of The Hand considering how much they were used in Daredevil so I hope they can move onto some better villains next season and I'm looking forward to some crossovers, especially with Luke Cage. You would think Claire would call up Luke and Matt to say "Hey lads, there's another superdude wanting to fight bad guys, wanna help?"

I like the show. I'm just surprised, Netflix didn't adopt the origin story from the comics. How Danny's parents died was brutal and it gave him a more focused purpose in his return to New York. That would have made the series a lot better. Another let down was that Danny doesn't wear the iconic costume. Not even a mask.

The Netflix version left long before his training was done, while the comic book Iron Fist stayed until he was finished. Like in the comic, he had to earn the chance to face the dragon(can't remember the name), while in the Netflix show he kinda cheated and rushed his way to it

In the Spider-Man cartoon (forget which one, but obviously the one where Peter hangs out with Iron Fist), Iron Fist could only use one fist, and eventually learns to channel his power into both of them at once. Reading recommendation should have been the entirety of Iron Fist’s first series (including the Marvel Premieres), all of which can be found in the first Iron Fist Epic Collection. man this origin sounds heaps more interesting then he just happened to be rescued by warrior monks and sort of nonchalantly became the best fighter and just sort of wandered into NY and just started being a billionaire.. the netflixs guy just seems so disinterested in everything he does
