Osei Tutu was taken for training at Dentyira. He got involved in an affair with the sister of the king of Denkyira and the lady became pregnant. Due to fear, he left for Akwamu. That is where he met Anokye from Awukugwa. Because the Akwamus have long been interacting with the guans at Akuapem. When the time came for Nana Osei Tutu to go back to Asante to reign, he invited Okomfo Anokye to help him to rule
