These are the actual true colours in our universe that represent these stones: Space= Purple. Time= Blue. Power= Red. Reality= No Specific Colour but I think Indigo is a good one. Mind= Your Favourite Colour As Your Brain Adapts To Your Favourite but I think yellow. Soul: Green.

So from what I'm understanding Thanos knows he can do all sorts of things with the infinity stones, he just doesn't know what. The only reason I say that is because from the way he explained it Thanos could simply go through time to defeat the Avengers and any other hero he wants but he gets taken down by them time and again when he has them. I don't read the comics much to be honest but that is what I understand about Thanos.

Wasn't infinity stones made by malekith according to Odin, he said it in Thor:The Dark World. He said malekith created 6 stones to engulf universe in darkness and the only one which was not in the stone form was reality stone or aether. It is the most powerful stone according to malekith and odin
