I’d still think Batman was the best regardless of his rogues gallery. I always liked that Batman was a mortal man. I see so many people that think that undermines him somehow. To me, he’s like our representative in comics. A dude that ascended to superhero status, able to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the justice league, thanks to tireless discipline and perseverance. That resonates with me.

Out of all the DC history, lore, and background of characters and teams, the league of assassin's and shadows especially with the women and their names, histories, temporary allies, teamups, etc. Is definitely the one part of the DC universe where I have had the hardest time to fully understand all of its backstory.

Only minor criticism I have of the video is that I would have liked Arris to slow down a little bit when talking about Ra's Al Guhl's first born daughter and her recruitment of Lady Shiva and Cassandra Cain (So from 4:37 to 4:54). A brief pause would've been nice, just personally felt the pace of that brief part of the video was too fast. Just something to bear in mind for future Variant videos. Anyways, love the channel, and the podcast, keep up the awesome content!!

I honestly hope Pattinson does well as Batman. Not just because I want to see a great new school live action Batman, but honestly because I kind of feel sorry for Pattinson. Can anyone honestly say that they don't automatically think of those God awful Twilight movies when they hear his name? I don't honestly know if he even liked being in those movies or not, but if I were him, and I had a chance to go from being the guy who sparkled instead of turning into a bat to being the Batman, then I would do everything in my power to make sure I did the role justice. I think Pattinson can do it.

that really depends on who you ask. for me personally both good and bad in their own ways. the Nolan version was more mysterious and deadly like the comics. although it seemed more rooted in tablet culture rather than arabic culture. the costumes, the location, the sets, and weapons didn't look like the comics. the cw version defiantly looked more like the comics like the costumes, the sets(especially ra's main Thorne room), location, and costumes and weapons.. unfortunately the cw version was not that deadly at all. and both the Nolan and arrow league of assassins and their ra's al gul wasn't nearly as intimidating as he should be imo.
