I think the real reason to get Origin is to support American made all around. I ordered when they announced the release, but haven't heard anything yet from them as to a ship date. That's ok as I'm just hitting my stride this weekend for bow and my saddle hunting setup. Time will tell for sure. After watching this, as @Trynt Gaston pointed out, the highland may be a better choice for IL & IN where I hunt...but of course I ordered woodland!! Time will tell. I know enough people that successfully hunt in jeans & Harley gear!!

American made gear all the way , but Forloh which is also 100% made and sourced in the USA just has better patterns and 1 guy did a side by side comparison of actual pieces of clothing and Forloh came out on top of that as well

After watching I'm actually surprised by the comments...I have Highland beating woodland 6-2 and a toss up 5x...Overall I'm not a fan of either to much. I think there are wayyy better options out there. Also I kept catching a hint of neon green in the woodland...is that just my eyes...more so in the top the bottom too...

I have Highland beating Woodland 8-7 for all locations. A couple both of them really sucked but I had to choose a winner. I’m really surprised at how the both did really well in the trees stand locations.

@@CamoMatrix yeah I am really at odds ends with which pattern to get, I do a lot of slipping on the ground along with tree stand sits. I know the woodlands pattern was made for a forest like I hunt in the Ouachita’s

I’m not crazy about either pattern. The lines and pattern seem to run horizontal, vertical would’ve made more sense IMO. Love the concept, hope it’s available in solids.

Also in the spirit of these being based off Tiger stripe can we get a Multicam vs Scorpion OCP video...I know this is a hunting channel and not a military channel but it would be interesting since I know alot of current and former military guys wear their ACU bottoms hunting.

They’ll disappear even more if the camp was actually in the scene and not payed over it. Since the lighting doesn’t match they tend to stick out and not break up shapes as they would normally.

Yes, this is something I am working on. Been reaching out to all camo companies with some photo requests. These types of simulations will never be perfect since true light, shadow and reflection will alter how the pattern really appears.

Prefer the highland. The pattern on the woodland pants needs to be enlarged. The woodland jacket is nice, but the pants need the tan and lighter green stripes larger to function properly.

Are you saying you see a similarity in the patterns UA Hunt made versus these Origin Patterns? If so, I can see where you are coming from. I will say this pattern is very horizontal with no vertical shapes. UA is similar but does have a more angular direction of the pattern running both ways, almost like one pattern went East North East and the other pattern in it went West North West. (if that makes any sense)

Not quite, but it was developed by One of UA ex-developers. They used the design as an homage to the special forces who fought in Vietnam.

none of them really match anything... The highland breaks up the figure better because it has more contrast.. Over the years I've really come to think that contrast and break up is more important than color match... or at least as important.
