I have desperately wanted one of these for a majority of my life. No other automobile in existence has had quite a gravitational pull as the Delorean for me. I remember watching Back to the Future laying on the carpet of our living room at age 5. Watching it on a Zenith early 80s wooden TV. It dazzled me like no other. For a vehicle that is now considered classic, it still will always have a mystical future vibe to it. Damn shame with the tragic history of DMC. The Delorean will always give me goosebumps. Respect and awe!

The You're Wrong About podcast sent me here and I gotta say, the seagull and beach imagery is so fitting to me because when my family lived on Galveston Island, TX, in the late 1980s, there was a guy there who owned a DeLorean and we'd regularly see him driving it along the seawall. Most people my age would associate the Delorean with a certain movie (that I admittedly have never seen) but I associate it with my memory of some dude driving along the Galveston seawall back in 1989.

I remember seeing a prototype DeLorean at an automotive expo in Boston, must have been around 1980. I walked up to it, in amazement at the bare metal, wondering how they kept it from rusting. As I studied it up close, I realized that the car was made of stainless steel. It looked so futuristic at the time, and still does today. It's a shame it wasn't around long enough to evolve to its full potential. The interior could have used some improvement, as well as the Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) V6 engine, rated at only 130 hp.

I just watched a video where two guys do an amateur drag race- The stock model ‘81 Delorean’s _acceleration speed_ beats the BRICKLIN- But, a stock Bricklin’s horsepower is *_*70HP_** more! Logically then, the Bricklin’s top speed is much higher! 🤣👍 Also, in that previous video?! The DELOREAN HANDLES TIGHTER while the Bricklin handles like a “LAND YACHT.” LOL.
