I was a cast member in 1998 and the magic of this brand new park opening was absolutely indescribable. I can’t even imagine how many times I sat through this show back when it was new- and very hot in the open air theater. I can’t thank you enough for making sure these videos are accessible for everyone! Takes me back in an instant.

I just got back from my Disney trip and this show was by far one of my favorite things! I never got the privilege to see it as a kid, but the Lion King was one of my favorite movies growing up so watching this made me smile and it was neat to see what it was like in its early days. I was 6 years old in 1998, so a lot of the kids seen in this video would be about my age now.

Memory: It's sometime in October of 1999. There is a ten-year-old here, in front of the stands. He's really anxious, but he does his best roar.
