muffler is used to alter the sound. stock db killer should be used when engine is rebuilt for back pressure, once break in period is done no need to use stock db killer. I've been using my db killer from more than a year now and it hasn't affected my engine till date. sold more than 100 speedylio db killers till now and no complaints till date!
