Seeing this makes me cry. These beautiful birds don’t even see their moms. They are killed at a fraction of their natural lifespan just for us to enjoy a meal. The idea of them being treated as objects and being killed, being murdered makes me cry. How? How can people do this?

You're precious. It is sad. I was just about to buy a turkey sandwich, but I was debating getting a veggie sandwich. So I decided to look at turkey videos and see if it would change my decision. For me it's mostly about the way they are slaughtered and their lifestyle leading up.

I’ve spent time with turkeys on a sanctuary and in a setting free from stress and danger they can be loving, sweet, gently, friendly, etc. Turkeys are my favorite animal and it breaks my heart to see them breed for the purpose of slaughter and consumption. The fact that there could be mortality as he pointed out means that they are too confined. Turkeys love to forage for greens, ESPECIALLY clover! That tiny outside space you have so you can qualify as free-range does not offer anything towards their natural instincts or health. Turkeys generally do not like to be held by humans and grabbing their legs gives them anxiety. Millions of turkeys every year endure conditions like this and much worse just so we can please our taste buds. Instead let’s let the turkeys live peacefully and we can enjoy any other tasty plant-based food

Notice how they chose to show organic rather than not? More humane..PBS dosent want to show the other side of the treatment of turkeys and how they get to your table.

Thank you, captain obvious. Yes! Animals die, including humans. Some are eaten, like shown here. Its the circle of life, if you were surviving/homeless, you wouldn't complain. Shut the fuck up, and be thankful.
