Hard to believe he wanted to do the same thing twice. The musical opening is better - it throws the audience off-guard, they are disoriented just like the hero, and there is a greater element of surprise for both. Even though I generally hated this sequel, I really liked the opening of the movie. It had shades of the USO fight in 1941 which was spectacular.

Anyone else see some similarity between Spielberg and Bono sometimes? Maybe it's only the shades, but thinking of it makes me laugh! :)
