I like to imagine a series in the distant future, long after the the power rangers have long been extinguished, forgotten and evil has ever since won. That a rogue scavenger, a cocky A-hole treasure hunter, bereft of faith, hope and ruled by cynicism, finds an ancient treasure buried deep in the depths of a derelict backwater planets ocean. At first he thinks its just a run-of-the-mill zord from the "Final war" but after inspecting further discovers its one of the 7 original zeo zords of legend. The zord sensing the young mans innate attributes, deems him worthy to be its ranger, and thus makes him its new ranger, the genesis of the new green ranger begins! It then awakens and bursts through the oceans surface as the Dragonzord awakens from its ancient slumber! One of the last of the zords of the zeo crystal in existence. With its new (but reluctant) Ranger, Dragonzord begins a journey of both vengeance and justice to reclaim the light from the dark with all odds against it. Our unlikely hero and the greatest zord ever to exist march forward. And thus a multi season anime is born! With the spirit of all that came before it and the hope and promise of all that comes next ahead of it! I Like to imagine this in a gurren laguan style. Where the past is nothing but ghosts, but their influence is nothing to snuff at. I can imagine moments where both Tommies spirit is an influence, and just as powerfully, the essence of Rita's repulsas spirit fights for dominance over both the Dragonzords mind as well as the new rangers spirit. Like the struggle of lukes soul between vader and obiwan. But in the end the new ranger chooses to accept both rita's and olivers influences as well as his own choices, balancing the evil and just natures of the dragonzord in order to battle a new and absolute evil.

The NES was an 1980s console while MMPR was a 90s thing releasing in 1993, The Super Nintendo or SNES was the latest console during MMPR years which released in 1991 and the console had a fair amount of MMPR games for it much like the SEGA Genesis the other console of the time. The N64 was a mid 90s console releasing in mid 1996. Doing research, I can say that CDs were released in 1982 which is fairly old, you definitely had them, but CDs, however only became popular for music and games in the mid 90s because they became more affordable and cheaper to produce than cartridges. When MMPR was released the NES was on it's way out, the SNES had just launched 2 years prior alongside the SEGA genesis a year before the SNES. You must have been an 80s kid who grew up in the late 80s and throughout the 90s and early 2000s. If I had to guess you're like 35 give or take a few years. Cassette tapes were on their way out in the 90s finally being phased out in the 2000s. DVDs on the other hand are a form of media that replaced the VHS tapes in the late 90s and early 2000s They held significantly more storage than a CD and took less space than a VHS tape, they were much less likely to degrade over time and they were also used for games on the PS2, XBOX, XBOX 360 and Wii. DVDs are a cheap affordable alternative to Blu-Ray and I don't expect DVDs to ever be fully phased out. They're just too versatile. I apologize for typing all this.
